Location: Cooper Landing, AKType: MVC-Injuries / DUI / Fail to give Immediate Notice / MIW 4thDispatch Text:
On 1/29/2025 at approximately 2000 hours, AST responded to a REDDI report in Sterling that James Winston Landess, age 52 of Sterling, had driven away from the home and was intoxicated and suicidal. While searching for Landess, at 2050 hours, AST began receiving reports of a single vehicle crash at milepost 45 Sterling Highway, the vehicle description matching that which Landess was reported to be driving at the time. Investigation revealed Landess had been driving the vehicle while impaired and under the influence of alcohol. He was charged with DUI, Fail to Give Immediate Notice of Accident and Misconduct Involving Weapons 4th for an unrelated incident earlier in the day. He was cited for the criminal offenses and admitted to hospital for treatment of injuries sustained.

On 1/30/2025 at approximately 0153 hours, AST responded to a reported domestic disturbance off Kalifornsky Beach Road. Investigation resulted in Andrea Darga, age 41 of Kenai, being arrested for Criminal Mischief 4th Domestic Violence for kicking and damaging a door in the home. She was remanded at Wildwood Pretrial Facility and held with no bail pending arraignment.

On 01/30/2025 Court Service Officers assigned to Palmer Judicial Services arrested Joshua Harding, age 37 of Palmer. Harding had appeared in Palmer court for a change of plea and sentencing hearing on the charge of Possession of Child Pornography. Harding was court ordered to be placed under arrest and remanded to Matsu Pretrial to serve his sentence.

On January 30, 2025, at approximately 0207 hours, AST responded to the area of Cheyenne Court for a disturbance report. Investigation resulted in Douglas Felix, age 38 of Fairbanks, being arrested for Criminal Mischief in the Fifth Degree and two counts of Violating Conditions of Release. Douglas was transported to FCC.

On January 30, 2025, at approximately 0205 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a report of trespassing near Tvsa Way. After investigation, Michael Morry, was arrested for criminal trespass in the 2nd and violating his conditions of release. He was transported to FCC without incident.

On January 29, 2025, at 12:18pm, Alaska State Troopers received a rapid SOS text message from an individual reporting that he had fallen through the ice on Engineer Lake. He reported that he was unable to get out of the water. Alaska Wildlife Troopers from Soldotna responded along with Central Emergency Services. While enroute the individual text that he was able to extricate himself from the water and made it back to shore. AWT arrived on scene and met him on the trail. He was completely wet and only had one boot. He was escorted back to the parking lot where he was transported to the local area Hospital by EMS for cold weather injuries.

Location: HoustonType: Kidnapping & Sexual Assault InvestigationDispatch Text:
On January 29, 2025, at 6:37 pm, the Alaska State Troopers received a 911 call that an adult female had been physically and sexually assaulted in Houston. Troopers responded and began investigating the allegations. A preliminary investigation conducted by the Alaska Bureau of Investigation determined that 57-year-old Houston resident Terry Tomlinson had kidnapped, sexually assaulted, and physically assaulted the adult female over a five-day period before the female was able to escape Tomlinson and call 911 for help. Tomlinson was arrested and remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial on charges of Sexual Assault in the First Degree, Kidnapping, Assault in the Fourth Degree, Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance, and Violating Conditions of Release.
