On October 10th, 2024, at approximately 1154 hours, the Alaska State Troopers responded to a disturbance in Big Lake. Investigation revealed that Aarron Settje, age 39 of Big Lake, recklessly placed a family member in imminent fear of physical injury on two separate occasions and then damaged property inside the residence. Aarron was arrested and remanded at MSPT without bail pending arraignment.

On 10/10/24 AST contacted Donamarie, age 62 of Wasilla, at her residence, for an active arrest warrant (3PA-24-00399CR Fail to remand- O/C Disorderly Conduct and Violate Conditions of Release). Donamarie was arrested and remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial without incident.

On 10/9/24 at approximately 2115 hours, AST received an anonymous tip that Richard Brown, age (39) of Wasilla, was in the area of Big Lake. Investigation revealed that Richard had a $100 failure to appear warrant, original charge DWLR. AST arrested Richard and transported him to Matsu Pretrial where he was booked on his arrest warrant.

On October 10, 2024, AST responded to Stebbins and Saint Michael to complete this investigation. Investigation determined Alexandria R. Niksik (31 yoa of Saint Michael) assaulted a male household member by striking him on the head with a 2"x4" piece of lumber. The victim sustained a serious head wound that required medical attention. AST arrested Niksik for Assault in the 2nd Degree and Assault in the 3rd Degree and transported her to AMCC.
On September 23, 2024, at 0630 hours, AST received a report of an assault that occurred at a Stebbins residence during the early morning hours. Parties are now separated, and AST is investigating this case.

On October 9, 2024, at 6:19pm, Alaska State Troopers received report of an active shooter incident in the village of Akiak. It was reported that 40-year-old Howard Galila of Akiak had been walking through the streets and had fired a rifle several times at other individuals in the streets. Several troopers from Bethel AST responded and located Galila near the airport. Galila was taken into custody without further incident and was remanded to the Yukon-Kuskokwim Correctional Center for multiple charges of Assault 3rd and Misconduct Involving Weapons. No injuries were reported to AST as a result of the shots fired. The investigation is ongoing.

On 10/09/2024, Alaska State Troopers responded to a reported active disturbance in the area of Little Shot Rd in Fairbanks involving a male, identified as Jacob Pflughoeft, attacking another male with a clever. AST conducted investigation, which ultimately led to the arrest of Jacob. Jacob is charged with one count of Assault in the Third Degree, a class C felony crime.

On October 10th, 2024, at approximately 1725 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a call from the Security Forces at Eielson Air Force Base. They stated that a DV assault occurred on-post and wanted troopers to respond to assist. Investigation showed Ashley Perez committed assault against her husband. Ashley was remanded to FCC on a DV Assault charge.
