  On 11/12/2025 at approximately 2105 hours, AST conducted a traffic stop on a pick-up truck for having a broken taillight. The driver was identified as Gregory Frisby age, 34 of Hydaburg. A records check revealed Gregory was driving while license revoked. Gregory had a prior DWLR conviction within the previous 10 years. The reason for the revocation met the criminal DWLR. Gregory was issued a summons.

  On 11/12/2025 at approximately 2357 hours, Alaska State Troopers in Fairbanks conducted a traffic stop at MP 356 Richardson Highway near North Pole for speeding. Investigation revealed Shawnell Carlson, 38 YOA, was driving while her AK driver’s license was revoked and in violation of conditions of release. Carlson was arrested and remanded to FCC on one count each of VCOR A.S. 11.56.757(a) and DWLR A.S. 11.15.291(a)(2).

  Type: Fail to stop for school bus

  On 11/12/2025 at approximately 0706 hours, Alaska State Troopers in Fairbanks conducted a traffic stop on the red Ford F150 Chena Hot Springs near Forest Hollow Drive for fail to stop for school bus. Investigation revealed, Shane Morris 38 YOA , failed to stop for the school bus when its flashing red lights were illuminated. Morris was issued a summons for Fail to Stop for School Bus A.S. 28.35.145(a) and was released.

AK Bureau of Investigation

  Dispatch Text:

  In April 2025, Task Force Dawnbreaker—comprised of the Alaska Bureau of Investigation Technical Crime Unit and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Investigations—initiated an investigation into an online user located in Clear, Alaska, who was identified as downloading child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

  The investigation identified the suspect as Terry Stiefel, age 61, of Fairbanks. Investigators determined that Stiefel had been downloading CSAM both at Clear Air Force Station, where he was employed as a civilian contractor, and at his residence in Fairbanks.

  On November 13, 2025, a Fairbanks grand jury indicted Stiefel on three (3) counts of Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material.  Later on this day, Stiefel was located and arrested without incident. He has been remanded to the Fairbanks Correctional Center on no bail.

  This investigation was supported by the United States Space Force, the U.S. Air Force Office of Investigations, and the Alaska State Troopers Fairbanks Criminal Suppression Unit.

  On 11/06/2025 at approximately 1227 hours, the Highway Interdiction K9 Team conducted a traffic stop on a red Ford F-150 for a seatbelt violation in the Williwaw Subdivision. Investigation revealed the passenger, Eric Karlsen, age 50 of Wasilla, who was also not wearing a seatbelt had an active arrest warrant for MICS 5th Degree, Promoting Contraband 1st Degree, and VCOR. Karlsen was arrested and remanded to MAT-SU Pretrial where he was held on $500 bail.

  On 11/10/2025 at approximately 1100 hours, the Highway Interdiction K9 Team conducted a traffic stop on a blue Chevy Suburban for a moving violation which nearly resulted in a collision at the intersection of E. Bogard Road and Seward Meridian Parkway. The driver was identified as Aron Jonz, age 63 of Wasilla. Investigation revealed Jonz was driving with a revoked driver's license with multiple previous criminal convictions for driving while revoked. Jonz was issued a misdemeanor summons for DWLR and a citation for failure to provide proof of insurance.

  On 11/12/2025 at approximately 1535 hours, Court Service Officers assigned to Anchorage Judicial Services arrested Sarah Oyagak, age 28, in the Boney courthouse. Oyagak had an active warrant for her arrest for Neglect- Inadequate supervision. Oyagak was remanded to Hiland Mountain Correctional Facility with bail to be set.
