On 11/2/2025 at approximately 1325 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of a driver slumped over the wheel of a vehicle alongside Kalifornsky Beach road near milepost 18.5. The driver was identified as Roy Glenn Collins, age 52, of Soldotna. Investigation revealed he was operating the vehicle, a gray 1992 Toyota 4 Runner while impaired and under the influence of alcohol. He was found to have two prior DUI convictions within the past 10 years and was arrested for Felony DUI. He later refused to provide a sample of his breath and was additionally charged with Felony Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test. On 11/2/2025 at approximately 0236 hours AST received a report of a disturbance involving an active fight and highly intoxicated individuals in Wasilla. AST arrived on scene and encountered Kimberly Fletcher, age 30, of Palmer, who attempted to block AST from entering the residence to ensure everyone inside was safe. While AST was attempting to get past Kimberly, she assaulted an Alaska State Trooper by striking him in the face. During Kimberly's arrest, she also caused additional physical injury to the same Alaska State Trooper. Kimberly was arrested for 2 counts of Assault in the 4th degree and held on $500 cash performance bond.

On 11/2/2025 at approximately 0100 hours AST received a report of a disturbance in Wasilla. Upon AST arrival to the area, AST observed Sharley Novak, age 40, of Wasilla, running into the woods. AST determined Sharley had a $1000 misdemeanor warrant out for her arrest, and Sharley was arrested by AST and remanded at MSPT for her warrant.

On 11/02/2025 at 0126 hours Troopers responded to a call regarding an individual driving recklessly, driving down private residence driveways, and crashing his vehicle near mile 152 of the Glenn Highway. Troopers responded to the area, located the vehicle, and conducted an investigation. Ultimately, David Shaw of Palmer was arrested for DUI.

On 11/02/2025 at 1000 hours, Alaska State Troopers received the report of an Assault. Investigation revealed John Budd 62 YOA assaulted a former significant other and was trespassing in their residence. John was also on conditions of release to not consume alcohol and had. John was arrested and remanded at Mat-Su Pretrial where he was held without bail.

Location: KotzebueType: Search and RescueDispatch Text:
Update: On Saturday November 1, at 9:04 pm, the man rescued from the water, Elmer Brown Sr., age 46 of Kotzebue, died at a local area health clinic.Next of kin have been notified. Search efforts are continuing for the missing man. AST is coordinating with the Northwest Arctic Borough Search and Rescue program as well as other local agencies.
On November 1, 2025, at 11:20 am, the Alaska State Troopers received a report that three men riding one snowmachine, and two 4-wheelers north of Kotzebue went through the ice near Lockhart Point. One of the men made it safely to shore, one of the men was rescued by searchers and medical personnel and is now being transported to a local area health clinic, and the third man is missing. All three men are from Kotzebue.
Prior to AST being notified, multiple local EMT personnel and local community members were already on scene, rendering aide and searching for the third man. Location: FairbanksType: Fail to Stop/DUIDispatch Text:
On November 2, 2025, at approximately 0145 hours, Alaska State Troopers attempted to stop a gray SUV for speeding on the Steese Highway in Fairbanks. The driver failed to yield and led troopers on a short vehicle pursuit through city streets before stopping at an apartment complex off Turner Street. The driver, identified as Justin Corey Mayo, showed signs of impairment and was arrested and charged with Failure to Stop at the Direction of a Peace Officer and Driving Under the Influence.

On 11/01/2025, Alaska State Troopers in Healy located a person DUI. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Kimberly Mockta, 56, who was remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center.
