On 12/24/25 at approximately 0135 hours, AST received a 911 disconnect from Jesse Kern’s cellphone at a residence in Palmer. AST arrived and investigation revealed that Jesse Kern, age 43 of Palmer, damaged property inside the residence valued at over $750. Jesse was arrested and transported to MSPT, where he was held for Criminal Mischief 3 DV.

On 12/23/2025 at approximately 2154 hours, AST responded to a residence in Talkeetna reference a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, Troopers contacted an individual with visible injury and it was determined Johathan Peterson age 29 of Talkeetna had assaulted the individual with a broom. Location: PalmerType: Fail to yield at the direction of a peace officer in the 1st degree, Assault in the 3rd degree x3, Reckless Endangerment and Reckless driving.Dispatch Text:
On 12/24/2025 at approximately 0839 hours, AST attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a motor vehicle for a moving violation at mile 35 of the Glenn Hwy. Following the initiation of the stop, the vehicle failed to yield, and a pursuit ensued. After an approximately 11-mile pursuit, the vehicle came to a stop due to mechanical issues. Investigation revealed the driver, identified as Ryan Jewett, 39 YOA, had an outstanding parole warrant. Ryan was arrested and remanded to MSPT, where he was held without bail. During the pursuit, Ryan demonstrated a clear disregard for the public and operated his vehicle in a reckless manner, placing numerous bystanders in harm’s way. On 12/24/2025 at 1400 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a trespass at a business near Meadow Lakes. Investigation revealed, Marjorie Labriola 41 YOA, was trespassing on the business property within an hour of her being trespassed initially by AST. Marjorie was arrested for Trespassing and remanded at Mat-Su Pretrial. Marjorie was subsequently charged with Promoting Contraband 1st and Misconduct Involving Control Substance 5th.

Upon contacting the driver, identified as Michael Conner age 47 of Wasilla, it was revealed Michael had an arrest warrant for Probation Violation. Update: On December 22, 2025, Jacob Marcy, age 33, of Fairbanks, was arrested in connection with Boyd’s death on November 22, 2025. The Alaska Bureau of Investigation identified him as a suspect during their investigation into the shooting death. Marcy was arrested without incident and charged with murder in the first degree. We would like to thank the public for their assistance in this case.
Original: On November 22, 2025, at 12:55 am, the Alaska State Troopers were notified that a deceased male was located in a vehicle near a gas station on Farmer's Loop in the Fairbanks area. Troopers responded and located 37-year-old Michael Boyd in the driver's seat of a vehicle deceased. Troopers believe that this is a homicide, and the Alaska Bureau of Investigation has assumed case responsibility. Boyd's body has been sent to the State Medical Examiner's Office for autopsy and his next of kin have been notified. Anyone with information about this incident, or dash camera video from the Farmers Loop / Old Steese Hwy area from midnight to 1 am is asked to call the Alaska State Troopers at (907) 451-5100.
