    On March 20, 2026, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a missing person in Aleknagik. Jonathan Wassillie, age 34 of Aleknagik, was last seen leaving the Aleknagik church on March 15, 2026, on foot. It is believed that he may have left town on a snowmachine, which was also reported missing that same day. Alaska State Troopers from Dillingham searched the area by aircraft and flew over Aleknagik Lake. No signs of Johnathan were located. He has been entered into missing person's status. Search efforts continue.

    On March 18, 2026, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a residential fire in Stebbins. Investigation revealed the fire stemmed from a domestic violence disturbance inside the home. During the incident, 43-year-old Connie Acoman intentionally set the walls of the residence on fire. At the time, two adults and two small children were inside the home and were placed in danger. After starting the fire, Acoman fled onto the Bering Sea, sea ice, where she was later detained by Stebbins VPOs. AST from Nome responded to Stebbins and took custody of Acoman. She was remanded to AMCC without further incident.

    On March 19, 2026 the Alaska State Trooper Fairbanks Criminal Suppression Unit and Tok Patrol contacted Donny Pitka during a traffic stop at mile 1322 of the Alaska Highway.  Pitka had a felony arrest warrant for Assault III, Assault IV, and Reckless Endangerment.  Pitka was placed under arrest.  A subsequent search warrant on Pitka's duffle bag revealed he was in possession of two semi-automatic pistols, one of which was stolen.  Pitka was remanded to the Fairbanks Correctional Center on his warrant as well as two counts of misconduct involving a weapon III, for being a felon in possession of two concealable handguns.

    On March 20, 2026, at approximately 2245 hours, AST conducted a traffic stop in Delta Junction for an equipment violation. The driver was identified as Sierra Mahnke, age 35. Records check revealed that Mahnke was on conditions of realease and had a revoked license with multiple previous convictions. Mahnke was arrested for Violating Conditions of Release and Driving While License Revoked. She was transported to FCC on those charges and held on bail.

    On 3/19/2026 at approximately 2235 hours, AST responded to a MVC around Peger Rd and Phillips Field area. Troopers investigation led to the arrest of Roberto Arredondo, age 33, for driving while under the influence.  Arredondo was remanded to FCC without further incident.

    On 3/19/26, at 1342 hours, the Tok VPSO while on routine patrol observed a blue Ford F-150 parked on the side of the roadway with its four-way flashers activated.  Investigation determined a 42 Y/O female was having a mental health event.  The PT. was transported to the Tok Clinic for medical treatment.    The truck was released to a family member.

    On 03/20/2026, the Alaska State Troopers received a report of a domestic disturbance in the Fairbanks area. Dispatch advised that Amelia Paul was on the phone yelling and stating that her boyfriend was beating her up. Upon arrival at the residence, both parties were contacted and separately interviewed. Investigation revealed that Amelia was the primary physical aggressor and had assaulted the victim. Amelia was placed under arrest and transported to Fairbanks Correctional center where she checked on by the nurse then remanded.

    On March 20, 2026, the Alaska State Troopers assisted the Sandusky County Ohio Sheriff's Office. The Alaska State Troopers contacted James Bergman, 50YOA, and arrested on his fully extraditable warrant out of Ohio for failing to appear for sentencing for the crimes of Importuning, Attempted unlawful sexual conduct with minor, compelling prostitution, and disseminating matter harmful to juveniles. James was remanded to the Fairbanks Correctional Center.
