On 03/28/2025, the Alaska State Troopers responded to the Williwaw subdivision for the report of a criminal mischief. Investigation revealed that Austin Cedillo, age 26, of Wasilla, had damaged property belonging to someone with whom he had a domestic relationship. AST did not locate Austin, and as a result, a felony warrant was requested for his arrest.

On 03/28/25 at 1446 hours, the Alaska State Troopers responded to the area of Meadow Lakes for the report of a REDDI where the driver was believed to be intoxicated. The vehicle was located in Big Lake, and the driver, Robert Wilson, age 65, of Big Lake, was arrested for felony DUI. He was transported to Mat-Su Pre-Trial without incident and held without bail pending arraignment.

On 3/27/25, at 1600 hours, Robert Mayo age 65 of Fairbanks. was charged with one count of Failure to Register in the First Degree. Mayo is currently out of compliance with his SOR status. An arrest warrant has been requested in this matter.

On 28 March 2025, at approximately 1051 hours, Alaska State Troopers contacted Gilbert Kanayurak (36M) at the Farmer's Loop West Transfer Site. A routine records check confirmed that Gilbert had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Gilbert was arrested and remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center without any further issue.

On 28 March 2025, at approximately 1146 hours, 911 received a report of the location of William Chickalusion (36M). A records check showed that William had failed to register as a sexual offender. Additionally, William had been convicted of failing to register as a sexual offender in 2024. William was located by Alaska State Troopers at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital, arrested, and remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center for failing to register in the first degree.

On March 27, 2025 at approximately 7:00pm, Alaska State Troopers in Fairbanks conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at Nordale Road and Peede Road. The driver was identified as Travis Robert Wadsworth of North Pole. Investigation determined that Mr. Wadsworth was operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol. He was arrested and later remanded to the Fairbanks Correctional Center.

On March 27, 2025, at around 8:25 pm, the Alaska State Troopers responded to the Sutton area to conduct a welfare check. Responding Troopers located 56-year-old Sutton resident Nicholas Wells, deceased from multiple gunshot wounds. Additional Troopers from the Alaska Bureau of Investigation and patrol responded to the area and identified 21-year-old Sutton resident Grant Wells as a person of interest in Nicholas Wells’s death. At around 12:30 am on March 28th, Troopers located Grant Wells’ vehicle near mile 164 of the Glenn Highway. Troopers tracked Grant Wells in waist-deep snow to a small cabin. After making commands for Grant Wells to exit the cabin, he started a fire in the cabin, which consumed the entire structure. Wells exited the cabin, and Troopers utilized less-lethal tools to arrest Wells. Wells has been remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial on charges of Murder, Arson, Misconduct Involving a Weapon, Tampering with Physical Evidence, and Criminal Trespass. Nicholas Wells’s body has been sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy, and his next of kin have been notified. The Alaska Bureau of Investigation has assumed case responsibility.
