    On 9/13/24 at 2222 hours, Troopers stopped a vehicle on the Kenai Spur Highway at McGahan Drive for an equipment violation.  The driver was identified as Rhiannon Maudal-Fiscus, 38 of Nikiski, who was found to be driving with a cancelled license.  Further investigation showed the vehicle had the wrong license plates on it.  Maudal-Fiscus was given summons to appear for driving with a cancelled license and misuse of plates and released at the scene.

    On 9/13/24 AT 1808 hours, Troopers responded to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Echo Lake Road and the Sterling Highway. An investigation showed a vehicle being driven by Ryann Yager had been waiting to turn onto the Sterling Highway from Echo Lake Road. A vehicle being driven by Justin Maynard had been driving north bound on the Sterling Highway turning onto Echo Lake Road when Yager started her turn and the vehicles collided. Yager was cited for due care to avoid a collision.

    On 9/15/24 at approximately 1500 hours, AST responded to a report of a disturbance in the area of Lark Circle and KGB. Investigation revealed that a juvenile had damaged property within the residence. The juvenile was placed under arrest, transported to Department of Juvenile Justice  where they were remanded for criminal mischief in the fourth degree.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 9/15/2024, at approximaltey 1155 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a 911 report of a red Jeep Cherokee smashed into the gas pumps at the Speedway in Talkeetna. The vehicle suffered front-end damage and then left northbound on the Parks Highway. The Alaska State Troopers later received a second 911 report of the same vehicle going into a ditch and then hitting a parked vehicle at Trapper Creek Three Bears, causing minor damage. The Alaska State Troopers and EMS responded to the scene. The driver was identified as Faith Konobalov, age 43, of Talkeetna. Investigation revealed that Faith was operating a motorized vehicle while impaired by alcohol. Faith was arrested and transported to Matsu Pretrial, where she was remanded for the crime of DUI.

    On September 15, 2024, at approximately 0628 hours Alaska State Troopers and Alaska Wildlife Troopers from Tok responded to a report of an assault which had occurred at a hunting camp near mile 21 of the Taylor Highway. Investigation resulted in the arrest of Clayton Moore, age 50 of Arkansas, for one count of DV Assault in the Fourth Degree and one count of Assault in the Fourth Degree for causing physical injury to a juvenile family member and placing another individual in fear of imminent physical injury. Moore was remanded to the Fairbanks Correctional Center where he was held pending arraignment.

    Type: GMU 13 meat salvage requirements

    On 9/14/24, Tanner Cote, age 37 of Anchorage, was cited for removing the meat from the ribs of a moose he killed, prior to transporting it out of the field. 

    Hunters are reminded that for moose taken in GMU 13 prior to October 1st, the meat must remained on the bones of the front quarters, hind quarters, and ribs prior to being transported out of the field.
