On 10/18/2024 at approximately 2139 hours, MATCOM received a request for a welfare check on a male near Hollywood Road and Eider Circle. AST contacted Evgenia Reutov, age 45 of Big Lake. Investigation revealed Reutov caused reckless physical injury to a family member. Reutov was arrested and transported to Mat-Su Pre-Trial where she was remanded on a charge of Assault in the 4th degree per Domestic Violence and held on no bail.

On 10/19/2024 at approximately 0230 hours, AST received a report of a disturbance on Long Lake Rd in Willow. The investigation relieved Darleene Borchardt, age 31 of Willow committed the offense of assault in the fourth-degree domestic violence by placing a family member in fear of being injured. She was transported to Matsu pre-trial where she was remanded with no bail.

On 10/18/24 at approximately 1920 hours, AST conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Wasilla-Fishhook. Investigation revealed that the driver, identified as Amanda Stoltze age (33) of Wasilla, was driving with a revoked license. Subsequent investigation revealed that Amanda had been advised of her revocation and has had prior convictions of DWLR in the past 10 years. AST issued Amanda a criminal citation with a future court date and time.

On 10/19/2024 at approximately 0521 hours, Alaska State Troopers and the Wasilla Police Department responded to a disturbance with a firearm in Wasilla. Arriving officers contacted Howard Guinn, age 39 of Wasilla, in the roadway outside of a residence. During the incident, a Taser was deployed against Guinn, who was detained and transported to Mat-Su Regional Hospital for evaluation. Following the investigation Guinn was arrested and remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial for domestic violence-related assault in the third degree. The Alaska State Troopers would like to thank the Wasilla Police Department for their assistance during this incident.

On October 18, 2024 at approximately 2:30 pm, the Alaska State Troopers contacted Darin Mark, age 53 of Tetlin, in the Tok area. Mark was subsequently arrested for an outstanding misdemeanor arrest warrant that was issued for Failure to Appear for an adjudication and disposition hearing in court case 4TO-21-00071CR. Bail in this warrant was set as a $500 unsecured appearance bond.

Bail in this warrant was set as a $500 appearance bond with a 10% posting requirement. Mark was remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center.

On October 18, 2023 at about 7:01 pm, Tok Area EMS reported a death in Tanacross. The Alaska State Troopers and Village Public Safety Officers responded to the residence and located John Lillie, age 62 of Tanacross, deceased. Investigation and consultation with the State Medical Examiner's office suggests that this death is due to natural causes. The State Medical Examiner’s Office released Lillie's remains to the family. Next of kin were on scene.

On 10-19-24 Delta Junction AST received a report of motor vehicle collision near milepost 1409 of the Alaska Hwy. A Black Gold Truck struck a juvenile bison while traveling south. The juvenile bison had to be dispatched and a charity was called.

On 10/18/24 the Eagle Village VPSO attempted to locate an individual along the Taylor Highway who was planning to spend the winter in a cave. The individual, a 35 year old male from Texas, was located at his vehicle in a gravel pit at mile 96 of the Taylor Highway. The man informed the officer that he had hand dug a small cave and was planning to overwinter. After several hours of discussion, the individual was convinced that it was in his own best interest to rethink his plan and find a more suitable location to spend the winter. The following day VPSOs from Eagle and Tok responded back to location and gave the man 15 gallons of gas and performed minor vehicle repairs on the individuals SUV so that it could make the drive back to Tok. The man was escorted safely off of the Taylor Highway.
