On November 1, 2025 at approximately 2027 hours, the Alaska State Troopers responded to a Wasilla residence after receiving a report of a disturbance. Chad Whittecar, 55 years old of South Dakota, was contacted and a routine check of APSIN indicated he had an active Alaska arrest warrant (REF: 3PA-21-00959CR $100 FTA O/C DVPO Violation). On 11/01/2025 at approximately 0237 hours, Alaska State Troopers observed a vehicle traveling near double the speed limit through Wasilla. When the Trooper conducted the traffic stop, the violator's vehicle struck a guardrail while coming to a stop. Following the investigation, Jackson Harley, age 18 of Eagle River, was arrested and remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial for DUI and minor operating a motor vehicle after consuming alcohol.

On 10/31/2025 AST received a report of a disturbance involving a male and Melissa Luangkhoth, age 33, of Anchorage, in big lake. AST responded to the area, and determined Melissa had left, and the male did not request further AST assistance, besides not wanting Melissa to come back to his residence. As AST was leaving the area, AST observed Melissa driving behind troopers, and then observed her pull into the males residence. Investigation revealed Melissa was operating under the influence of alcohol, and she was arrested for DUI, and transported to MSPT.

Location: KotzebueType: Search and RescueDispatch Text:
Update: On Saturday November 1, at 9:04 pm, the man rescued from the water, Elmer Brown Sr., age 46 of Kotzebue, died at a local area health clinic.Next of kin have been notified. Search efforts are continuing for the missing man. AST is coordinating with the Northwest Arctic Borough Search and Rescue program as well as other local agencies.
On November 1, 2025, at 11:20 am, the Alaska State Troopers received a report that three men riding one snowmachine, and two 4-wheelers north of Kotzebue went through the ice near Lockhart Point. One of the men made it safely to shore, one of the men was rescued by searchers and medical personnel and is now being transported to a local area health clinic, and the third man is missing. All three men are from Kotzebue.
Prior to AST being notified, multiple local EMT personnel and local community members were already on scene, rendering aide and searching for the third man. The Northwest Arctic Borough Search and Rescue and Kotzebue Fire Department are responding.Posted on 11/1/2025 5:22:21 PM by DPS\jfreeman1

Location: Mile 276 Parks HwyType: MVC-D with road closureDispatch Text:
On 10/31/2025 at 1956 AST received a call about a two vehicle MVC at Mile 276 Parks Highway. Investigation determined a 2002 Buick car, and 2012 F350 pickup collided head on. The collision closed the Parks Highway for approximately 2 hours. There were no serious injuries and none of the occupants were transported by EMS. AST would like to thank fire and EMS from Anderson and Clear Space Force Base, and Zack's Towing for their assistance with the scene and getting the road reopened.

On 10/31/2025 at approximately 2232 hours, Alaska State Troopers in Fairbanks conducted a traffic stop on a red 2013 Ford SUV in Fairbanks. Investigation revealed the driver, Brenson Hardy, 26 YOA, was driving when his AK driver's license was revoked for a DUI conviction. Hardy was issued a summons for DWLR AS 28.15.219(a)(1) and was released.

On the evening of 10-31-25, a group of juveniles trespassed on two state troopers personal properties. The juveniles came up and looked through the front door into the residence of an off duty trooper. The juveniles then ran when the off duty trooper attempted to contact them. There were approximately 4-5 juveniles in the group.
If you have any information about the identity of the juveniles please contact Delta AST.
Delta AST would like to remind the youth trespassing is a crime. Delta AST would also like to remind the youth, going up to people's front doors and looking inside of the residence is a potential indicator of other behavior which could lead to further issues.
Update - The juveniles have been identified and AST is working on attempting to contact them.

On November 1, 2025, Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of an intoxicated juvenile with an active felony warrant inside a business on Airport Way in Fairbanks. The juvenile was taken into custody and remanded to the Fairbanks Youth Facility following medical clearance. Additional charges related to the incident are being referred to the Division of Juvenile Justice for review.
