On 11/15/2025, at approximately 1549 hours, Soldotna AST was dispatched to 20 Mile Speedway in Nikiski for a report of a man with a knife chasing others. AST and Kenai PD responded, and was able to locate Nathan Maxie, age 36 of Nikiski, behind the gas station. Investigation revealed Maxie got upset at a person who gave him a ride after that person’s car broke down unexpectedly. Maxie then charged at the victim with the knife into the gas station where the store was able to be locked and prevent further assault. Maxie was arrested for Assault in the Third Degree for placing another person in imminent fear with a dangerous instrument and remanded to Wildwood Pre-trial where he was held without bail pending arraignment. Alcohol is a factor and Maxie had .253BrAC when remanded.

On 11/15/2025 at approximately 1116 hours, AST responded to the area of Bogard Road and Merciful Circle after it was reported by multiple individuals that there was a disturbance occurring on and near the roadway. Investigation revealed Ramon Jimenez (36) M assaulted his girlfriend. Ramon was arrested and transported to MSPT and remanded for Assault in the Fourth Degree, where he is being held without bail.

On 11/15/2025 at approximately 1637 hours a Trooper conducted a traffic stop for expired registration. Further investigation revealed incorrect plates were displayed on the vehicle. The vehicle was impounded. Donna Boston is being charged with Improper Use of Evidence Registration and was cited for no proof insurance.

On November 15, 2025, Alaska State Troopers responded to a three-vehicle collision on the southbound Steese Highway near mile 6. Duncan Meyers, the driver of a blue Chevrolet Silverado, admitted to being intoxicated and was arrested for DUI after providing a breath sample of 0.149 BrAC. One of the other drivers, Tayva Taylor, sustained minor injuries and was transported to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital for treatment.

On November 15, 2025, at approximately 0347 hours, the Alaska State Troopers responded to the area of Parks Hwy and Sheep Creek Rd for a single vehicle accident. Investigation revealed Edward Romero, 31YOA of California, was operating while under the influence of alcohol. Edwards was remanded to the Fairbanks Correctional Center for one count of DUI.

On 11/12/2025 Troopers arrested Larry Lewis in the area of Moose Creek for the destruction of his wife's cell phone. No physical assault took place and Larry was transported to Fairbanks Correctional Center without incident.

Location: FairbanksType: Residential Structure Fire - FatalityDispatch Text:
On Saturday, November 15, 2025, at approximately 0956 hours, the Steese Volunteer Fire Department (SVFD) received a report of a residential structure fire at 815 McGrath Road. On arrival crews found active fire in the trailer. During overhaul fire crews discovered human remains in the living room. Two (2) Deputy Fire Marshals responded to the scene to conduct an origin and cause investigation. The area of origin was identified as the living room next to the woodstove. The victim is being transported to the State Medical Examiner's Office for autopsy. The identity of the victim will be released upon confirmation of identity and notification of next of kin. No foul play is suspected.
