On 8/23/25 at approximately 1235 hours Palmer AST performed a routine traffic stop on a vehicle on Hollywood Rd at Goose Bay Elementary for an equipment violation. Investigation revealed the driver, Bethany Ferguson, age 32 of Wasilla, had two outstanding warrants for her arrest, both for Failing to Comply with Conditions of her probation based on original charges of Vehicle Theft 1st Degree, Assault 3rd and 4th Degree, and Misconduct Involving Controlled Substances 3rd Degree. Ferguson's warrants totaled $3,000 bail. Additionally, Ferguson was found in possession of suspected methamphetamine. Ferguson was arrested for her warrants and new charges of Misconduct Involving Controlled Substances 4th Degree and Violating Conditions of Release. Ferguson was held without bail.

On 08/22/2025 at approximately 0830 AST was notified by MatSu Borough EMS about a potential DUI driver on the side of the road. AST contacted, Waylon Olsen, age 46, of Wasilla, behind the drivers seat. Investigation revealed Waylon presented signs of intoxication strong enough that he was unable to safely perform SFST's on the side of the road. Waylon was arrested for DUI and transported to MPST. AST would like to thank MatSu Borough EMS for their assistance on this case.

On 22 August 2025, Alaska State Troopers responded to multiple reports of a man in the roadway near a broke down bus. Witnesses stated the driver seemed to be intoxicated. Subsequent investigation revealed the driver, Jesse Rabago, age 34 of Fairbanks, was driving under the influence. Jesse was arrested and remanded at the Fairbanks Correctional Center.

On 8/22/25, at 1312 hours, the Tok VPSO was contacted about a dump site on Tetlin Native Corporation lands. Investigation was able to identify a suspect in this matter. The investigation in ongoing and charges are pending.

On August 22, 2025, at approximately 2139 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a call about a vehicle in a ditch in Ester. Upon arrival and subsequent investigation, Troopers found Zoe Rice (24) of Fairbanks, Alaska, to be operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. Emergency Medical Services were requested out to the scene to render aid and transport Zoe Rice. The Charges of DUI are being forwarded to the District Attorney's office.

On August 22, 2025, at approximately 1520 hours, Alaska state Troopers responded to a Motor Vehicle Collision on Badger Road near North Pole, Alaska. Troopers responded to the scene of the accident and initiated an investigation. The investigation revealed that K.Y. (15) of Fairbanks was driving in violation of their instructional permit and failed to exercise due care to avoid a collision. They were charged with Driving in Violation of Instruction Permit and a citation for Failure to Exercise due Care to Avoid a Collision.

On August 21, 2025, at approximately 1811 hours, Alaska state Troopers received a report of an active disturbance near Holmes Road. Upon the Trooper's arrival and subsequent investigation, it was revealed that Chad Wells had an active arrest warrant. Mr. Wells was arrested, and a search of his person revealed that he possessed metal knuckles. He was remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center for his warrant and Misconduct Involving Weapons in the 4th degree.

On August 23, 2025, The Alaska State Troopers received a REDDI report that led to the arrest of Brent Strickland for driving under the influence in the Badger area. Strickland, who refused to perform field sobriety tests, was taken into custody after a traffic stop where officers observed signs of intoxication. At the Trooper Post, a breath test revealed a blood alcohol content of .206, and he was subsequently remanded to the Fairbanks Correctional Center.
