On 11/11/2024 at approximately 2130 hours, Alaska State Troopers conducted a death investigation in Wasilla. Investigation revealed. Gregory Danjin 79 YOA was found deceased. No signs of foul play suspected. Next of Kin was on scene.

On 11/11/2024 at approximately 1814 hours, AST received a report of a deceased male located at a residence on Talkeetna Spur Road in Talkeetna. The male who was identified as Edward Schofield, 75 YOA of Talkeetna, was located by his wife. Edward was pronounced deceased by EMS. Edwards remains have been transported to the SME’s office pending an autopsy. At this time, the NOK has been notified. Foul play is not a factor in this case.

On 11/12/42 at approximately 0730 hours, Glennallen AST received a report of a vehicle in the ditch with unknown injuries near mile 70 of the Richardson Hwy. AST responded and investigation revealed Donald Kompkoff age 36, of Copper Center was driving while intoxicated and drove into the ditch. He was arrested for DUI and MIW 4. He was transported to the Glennallen Trooper Post and held until arraignment.

On 11/12/2024 at approximately 1003 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a Report Every Dangerous Driver Immediately report on Crabb Cir in Palmer. Investigation led to the arrest of Cody Chandler, age 34 of Palmer, for Driving While License Suspended. Chandler was remanded to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and released on his own recognizance.

Investigation led to the arrest of Karen Thomas, age 35 of Wasilla, for Driving While License Revoked. Thomas was remanded to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and released on her own recognizance.

On 11/12/2024 at approximately 1910 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to the area of Clapp Street and KGB for a motor vehicle collision vs pedestrian. The suspect vehicle took off after colliding with the pedestrian. The pedestrian sustained non life threatening injuries. The vehicle was described as a red sedan. Anyone who witnessed the collision or with information is encouraged to call the Alaska State Troopers at 907-352-5401.
