On 11/22/2025 at approximately 1353 hours, Alaska State Troopers in Anchor Point received a REDDI report of a dangerous driver in a newer model Chevrolet SUV that was all over the roadway, going into the oncoming lane multiple times, southbound from mile 128 of the Sterling Highway. While AST units were enroute, the dangerous driver caused a motor vehicle collision (damage only) while driving in the oncoming lane at mile 138 of the Sterling Highway when oncoming traffic was unable to avoid the collision resulting in both vehicle’s driver’s side mirrors colliding. The dangerous driver proceeded to leave the scene without contacting the occupants of the other vehicle. Anchor Point AST Troopers contacted the dangerous driver, identified as Carole Barnett (68) of Texas City, TX at approximately mile 151 of the Sterling Highway. Investigation determined that DUI was not a factor, and Barnett was issued a summons with a mandatory court date for Reckless Driving and Leaving the Scene of an Accident. Barnett and her vehicle were picked up by fellow co-workers as she was not allowed to drive away. Barnett received a summons for Reckless Driving 10 days prior for similar driving behavior by Homer Police Department.

On 11/22/2025 AST responded to a report of a welfare check in Meadow Lakes for a female passed out behind the wheel. AST contacted Desiree Clark, age 46, of Palmer. AST noted paraphernalia in the vehicle consistent with the use of methamphetamine. Desiree became uncooperative with AST’s investigation. Eventually, Desiree was arrested for 1 count of Disorderly Conduct and 1 count of MICS5. She was transported to MSPT where she was released OR.

On 11/22/2025 Dennis Brown, age 85, passed away at his home in Kenny Lake. The Alaska State Troopers responded and conducted an investigation. There is no foul play suspected, and it appears Brown died of natural causes. Next of kin has been notified.

On 11/22/2025 at approximately 1719 hours, AST received a report of a Motor Vehicle Collision VS. Pedestrian in the area of Palmer-Wasilla Highway and Equestrian St. Investigation revealed that Darrel Williams was walking on the roadway when he was struck. Life saving measures were attempted on scene prior to EMS arrival. Darrel was transported to Mat-Su Regional Hospital were he was declared deceased.
NOK has been notified and Investigation is still ongoing.

On 11/23/2025 at approximately 1600 hours, the Alaska State Troopers responded to a residence near E. Porcupine for a report of a domestic disturbance. Investigation revealed James Garman, age 47, recklessly caused injury to a household member and damaged property. It was also determined James crashed his vehicle into the ditch while under the influence of alcohol. James was placed under arrest for DUI, DV Assault 4th degree, DV Criminal Mischief in the 5th degree, and Misconduct Involving Weapons in the 4th degree. James was transported to MSPT, where he was remanded and held without bail.

Location: HealyType: Drive CMV without being LicensedDispatch Text:
On 11/22/2025 at 1728 hours the Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop near Mile 248 Parks Highway in Healy for speeding on a commercial motor vehicle. Investigation determined the driver, Aifeula Moloasi, age 32 from Anchorage had a suspended driver's license. Moloasi was issued a misdemeanor summons for Driving a CMV without being Legally Licensed. This placed him out of service. He was also placed out of service for a logbook violation. A qualified and licensed driver responded and took over driving.

On November 23, 2025, at approximately 0718 hours, the Alaska State Troopers responded to the area of Crestline Dr in Fairbanks for a subject removal. Investigation revealed that Sonny Forman committed the offense of Assault 3(DV). Sonny was remanded to the Fairbanks Correctional Center.

On November 23, 2025, at approximately 0043 hours, the Alaska State Troopers responded to the area of Lakeview Terrace Rd for an assault. Investigation revealed that Dustin Walters committed the offense of Assault 4 (DV) and VCOR. Dustin was remanded to the Fairbanks Correctional Center without incident.

On 11/23/2025 at approximately 1304 hours, Alaska Wildlife Troopers contacted Ezekiel Oswald, age 27, of Michigan, who was observed ice fishing on Matanuska Lake in Palmer. Investigation revealed that Ezekiel was in possession of 5 rainbow trout while fishing without a non-resident sport fishing license in possession. Ezekiel was issued a citation for sport fishing with out a valid sport fishing license in possession.
