  Type: Sexual Abuse of Minor/Warrant Arrest

  In January 2024, Ketchikan based Troopers began a lengthy investigation into a historical report of a minor who had been sexually abused. The investigation ultimately uncovered numerous individuals who all reported being victimized by the same perpetrator, 33-year-old Gary Anderson, a resident of Saxman. The investigation revealed multiple children were sexually abused by Anderson from 2012 through 2019. On 12/11/2025, Anderson was indicted on 9 individual charges of Sexual Abuse of Minor. A NO BAIL arrest warrant was issued on 12/12/2025 and Anderson was promptly arrested. Anderson was remanded to the Ketchikan Correctional Center.

  Type: Motor Vehicle Collision

  On 12/11/2025 Glennallen responded to a motor vehicle collision against a moose at approximately mile 41 of the Richardson Highway. No injuries were reported and the moose was donated to a charity.

  UPDATE Dec. 12, 2025: Ashley Miller was located deceased near her residence on Dec. 11, 2025. Her remains were transported to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy and her next of kin were notified. The investigation is ongoing.

  ORIGINAL: On 12/7/25 at approximately 2113 hours, AST received a report from a friend that Ashley Miller age 39 of Palmer, was missing from her residence in Palmer. The last time Ashley was seen was 11/26. It is unknown where Ashley could have gone and she was not answering her phone. A missing person report was entered for Ashley.

  Dispatch Text:

  On 12/11/2025 at approximately 1929 hours, the Alaska State Troopers responded to a disturbance in Wasilla.  The suspect, identified as Natalie Jones (51YOA) of Wasilla, caused a household member to have physical injury to her hand.  Natalie was arrested for Assault 4 (DV) and remanded at Mat-Su Pretrial, where she is held without bail pending arraignment.

  On December 11, 2025, at approximately 12:43 a.m., Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop near the Oasis Bar in Fairbanks after observing a grey SUV commit multiple traffic violations. The driver, identified as Elizabeth Jones, exhibited signs of impairment and later provided a breath sample indicating a BrAC of 0.148; she was arrested for Driving Under the Influence (DUI) in violation of AS 28.35.030(a)(2). Jones was transported to Fairbanks Correctional Center following the administration of standardized field sobriety tests and the completion of required legal procedures.

  On 12/12/2025 at 0359 hours AST received a report of 2 vehicle collision near Mile 282 Parks Highway.  Investigation determined a semi-truck traveling southbound slowed due to poor visibility in the blowing snow which was exacerbated by a semi traveling northbound which did not slow down causing white out conditions.  A pick-up traveling southbound with three occupants collided with the rear end of the southbound semi-truck.  The occupants had minor injuries and were transported to FMH.
