On 02/19/2026 at approximately 0409 hours, the Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop near Wasey Way and Valois Drive in Houston on a vehicle for multiple equipment violations. Investigation revealed the driver, identified as David Thoene age 41 of Wasilla, was under the influence of alcohol. On 2/29/2026 AST received a report that Jesse Sours was in Wasilla. He had an active felony warrant for his arrest for Fail to Comply with Conditions of Release. He was located at his residence. While on scene Kalaya Ferguson physically hindered Troopers and was arrested for Hindering prosecution in the 1st degree. Jesse was also arrested. Both were remanded to Mat-Su Pre-Trial. Jesse was remanded on $5,000 bail and Kalaya was held on no bail.

On 02/19/2026 at approximately 0257 hours, Alaska State Troopers in Fairbanks responded to a report of a single vehicle motor collision on Badger Road at Plack Road in North Pole. Investigation revealed the driver of a red SUV was distracted when they left the road and struck a light pole. No injuries were reported.

On February 18, 2026, at 4:45 am, Alaska State Troopers in Fairbanks responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a military convoy. Investigation revealed that a truck had struck the back of a trailer being pulled by a military vehicle that was operating under the speed limit without proper taillights. While the military was attempting to remove the vehicle from the roadway, four additional collisions occurred. One person was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries by EMS. Troopers issued multiple citations to civilian drivers and to the military convoy drivers.

On 02/13/2026, Troopers were called to a residence in North Pole with reports of a domestic violence incident. Through investigation, it was determined that Oona Bell, age 63, of North Pole, had threatened her significant other with a dangerous instrument. On 02/16/2026, Troopers were dispatched to the area of mile 344 George Parks Highway with reports of a vehicle in the ditch. Upon arriving, Troopers made contact with the driver, Anthony Wright, age 40, of Fairbanks. A check of his license revealed he was driving with a revoked Alaska Driver's License. Kiehl was subsequently arrested on 4 misdemeanor arrest warrants in court cases 4TO-25-00053CR, 4TO-25-00054CR, 4TO-25-00055CR, and 4TO-25-00061CR. On 02/18/2026 at about 2139 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a report of a motor vehicle collision on the Richardson HWY near the Ft. Greely gate. Investigation revealed David Selmon, age 30 of Ft. Wainwright, was driving under the influence of alcohol when he rear-ended another vehicle. Selmon was arrested and he provided a breath alcohol sample of 0.228% which is almost three times the legal limit. No injuries were reported from the collision. On February 18, 2026, at 5:57 pm, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a domestic assault that occurred at a residence in Fairbanks on February 17. The report stated that a female victim had been physically assaulted by Shad Sizemore, age 40, of Fairbanks. The victim was taken to a local hospital to be treated for their injuries. Sizemore was arrested for DV Assault II and violating the conditions of his probation. The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges are possible.
