On 2/28/2026, Alaska State Troopers conducted a welfare check at a residence on the Old Sterling Highway in Anchor Point. Subsequent investigation determined Rosemarie Buchman, age 42, had assaulted her domestic partner. Rosemarie was arrested and remanded to Homer Jail on 1x count Assault 3, 1x count Assault 4, and 2x counts Violating Conditions of Release.
Update 3/23/2026: Following medical examinations and further interviews, an additional charge of Assault in the 2nd degree was filed on Rosemarie.

On 02/28/2026 at approximately 1643 hours, AST received a call of a Disturbance in the area of Preston Hills in Wasilla. Investigation revealed that Ryan Carter, age 37, had assaulted a household member. Ryan was arrested for DV assault 2, DV assault 3, and assault in the presence of a child. On 02/28/2026 at approximately 0236 hours, Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a GMC Yukon for multiple equipment violations. The driver, Zianna Tarix-Jackson, was found to be Driving While License Suspended and was subsequently arrested and remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center.

On 02/28/2026 at approximately 0236 hours, Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a GMC Yukon for multiple equipment violations. The passenger, identified as Devin Starnes, was found to have an active warrant for his arrest. Starnes was subsequently taken into custody and transported to Fairbanks Correctional Center without further incident.

Investigation showed employee, Kenda Leitner age 45 of Healy, stole merchandise of a total value of $204.97. On 02/21/2026, within the area of North Pole Troopers responded to a report of suspicious circumstances call. After arriving and investigating a potential Domestic Violence assault there was no evidence an assault took place. Video evidence from both parties disproved the original allegation of an assault took place. Parties agreed to separate and advised to report any future incidents.

On 2/23/2026, Troopers responded to the report of a vandalized vehicle. After interviewing the complainant, no suspects were identified and she left in her vehicle from the initial property in which the window was broken. She agreed to report the incident online once she received more evidence.

On February 28, 2026, at approximately 1255 hours, the Alaska State Troopers responded to Nordale Rd for an MVC. Investigation revealed that a vehicle driven by William Hiltunen rear-ended another vehicle at a high rate of speed. Investigation further revealed that William was impaired by alcohol. William was remanded to the Fairbanks Correctional Center.
