On April 17, 2026, at approximately 2143 hours, the Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on the Sterling Highway. A passenger identified herself by name and date of birth as that of a deceased woman. On her second attempt, she provided another false identity. Finally, on her third effort at revealing her true self, she gave her real name, Katherine Booth. Katherine was ultimately arrested for an outstanding No Bail warrant for Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance 4, two counts of False Info, a Petition to Revoke Probation, and a parole violation.

On 04/17/2026 at approximately 2311 hours Glennallen AST conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near Mile 115 of the Richardson Highway. Investigation revealed that Mildred Thomas, age 69 of Anchorage, was driving while under the influence of alcohol. Thomas was placed under arrest for DUI and held on a $750 bail. On 04/18/2026 at approximately 1131 hours, the Alaska State Troopers responded to a residence in Wasilla reference a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, Troopers noticed signs of injury to an individual. Investigation revealed Hayden Ortiz, age 23 of Wasilla, had caused injury to a household member. On 04/18/2026 at approximately 0045 hours Glennallen AST responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence in Tazlina. Investigation revealed that Dora Tydingco, age 23 of Tazlina, assaulted a family member with a dangerous instrument while in the presence of two children. Tydingco was placed under arrest for Assault in the 3rd degree DV, and two counts of Assault in the presence of a child. On April 17, 2026, at approx. 2335 hours, AST conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle around Davis Road for a speeding violation. Driver, Samantha Boschert (18), was identified. Investigation led to Samanatha being arrested for Driving Under the Influence and being remanded to FCC.

On April 17, 2026, at approximately 11:37 a.m., Alaska State Troopers received multiple 911 calls reporting a large disturbance at Chena Hot Springs Resort involving a group of individuals engaged in a physical altercation. Callers indicated that a knife and brass knuckles were involved.
Troopers responded to the scene and conducted an investigation. The investigation determined that two individuals—26-year-old Jessiahes Fleming-Ferreira and 24-year-old Brooke Lane-Borman—had remained on the property after being trespassed, which contributed to the escalation of the incident and subsequent criminal activity.
Jessiahes Fleming-Ferreira was arrested and remanded to the Fairbanks Correctional Center on charges of Disorderly Conduct, Criminal Trespass in the First Degree, and Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree.
Brooke Lane-Borman was also arrested and remanded to the Fairbanks Correctional Center. She was charged with Riot, Terroristic Threatening in the Second Degree, two counts of Assault in the Third Degree, Misconduct Involving a Weapon in the Fourth Degree, Criminal Trespass in the First Degree, and Disorderly Conduct.
The investigation remains ongoing.

On 04/18/2026 at approximately 1557 hours, Alaska State Trooper were notified of a death at a residence near Cantwell. Family reported that Tanner Martakis, age 35 of Cantwell, was deceased on scene. Preliminary investigation did not indicate foul play. On 4/18/2026, Alaska State Troopers in Tok received a report of an assault DV in Tok. Investigation revealed Lucy Weston of Fairbanks to have committed Assault and violated her conditions of release. Lucy was arrested and charged with DV Assault 4 and multiple counts of VCOR. She was remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center.
