On January 24th, 2026 at approximately 1915 hours, the Alaska State Troopers (AST) received a REDDI report about a gray truck driving erratically on Chris Court. AST responded to the area and subsequent investigation resulted in Tad Smith, age 69 of Anchor Point, being issued a summons for one count of DUI, and one count of DWLR.

On 01/24/2026 at approximately 1300 hours, AST was on a property near Meadow Lakes Loop conducting a search warrant service. While on location, AST contacted Steven Peldo, 39 YOA, who had an outstanding warrant. Steven was arrested and transported to MSPT, where he was remanded and held until his time could be served.

On 01/24/2026 AST Dispatch received a report of a disturbance in Big Lake. AST responded to the scene and an investigation revealed that Michael Flores, aged 34 of Big Lake, had assaulted a romantic partner. Michael was arrested, transported, and remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial for DV Assault 4.

On 01/24/2026 at approximately 2143 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to an assault in Wasilla. Following the investigation Pamela Howard, age 21 of Wasilla, was arrested for DV assault in the third x2 and DV assault in the presence of a child. On 01/24/2025 at approximately 0305 hours, AST received a report that Tracie Pierce was driving in the Palmer area. Tracie had a felony warrant and was reported to be driving a Silver Chrysler sedan. AST units conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that matched the description at the location of Paddock. The passenger, Alec Smith, ran from the scene. Tracie Pierce was arrested on her felony warrant and was remanded at Mat-Su Pretrial.

On 01/24/2026, Troopers received a report of an impaired driver who had been driving home from a North Pole bar, when they slid into a ditch off of Nelson Rd. The driver, identified as Rogelio Cruz age 37 of North Pole, was contacted at his residence, where he was determined to be impaired after investigation. On 01/24/2026, AST responded to a disturbance in North Pole. Upon investigation, it was determined that LB (17 yoa) had placed SH (16 yoa) in fear of imminent physical injury, attempted to force them into a vehicle, and broke their phone. LB was arrested and remanded to FYF for Coercion, Assault 4, Criminal Mischief 4, Reckless Endangerment and Assault in the Presence of a Child.

On January 24, 2026, at approximately 0138 hours, AST received the report of a domestic disturbance in Fort Yukon. 27-year-old Albert Thomas was arrested and remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center for assault in the second degree and resisting arrest.
