On 10/16/2025 at approximately 2200 hours, the Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in Anchor Point. AST contacted Melvin Douglas Crossett, age 45, of Anchor Point. Investigation revealed Crossett was driving while his license was suspended. Crossett was issued a summons citation for Driving While License Suspended.

On 10/16/25, AST received a report of a driver slumped over the wheel while parked in the roadway. An investigation found that Alika Antrim, 23, of Wasilla, was driving while under the influence of narcotics. A blood draw warrant was executed on his person, and he was remanded to Mat-Su Pre-Trial on the charge of DUI.

On 10/17/2025 AST responded to reports of a disturbance in Wasilla, AK. AST contacted Esau Conley, age 20, of Wasilla, in the middle of the street. AST determined Esau was actively creating a hazardous condition in the roadway by his actions. Esau was arrested by AST. Due to Esau's actions during his arrest, Esau was also charged with 2 counts of Assault 4, as well as resisting arrest. It was also determined that prior to AST's arrival, Esau had placed the original 911 caller in fear of imminent physical injury. Esau was transported to MSPT and remanded on his charges.

On 10/16/2025 at approximately 2246 hours, AST received a call of CPR in progress in the area of Outer Springer Loop in Palmer. Troopers responded and took over CPR until EMS arrived. Life-saving measures were unsuccessful, and Neal Barnard, age 67 of Palmer, was declared deceased on scene. NOK has been notified.

On 10/17/2025 at approximately 0134 hours, AST received a call regarding a possible deceased person. Troopers responded to the residence near the location of Palmer Wasilla Highway and Hyer Road. Investigation revealed that household members found Howard Campbell, 88 years of age, had become unconscious. Howard Campbell was pronounced deceased at 0003 hours on scene. Next of kin has been notified.

On 10/172025 at approximately 1030 hours, AST received a report of a disturbance near Seward Meridian in Wasilla. The following investigation revealed that Richard Steele, 39 YOA, had violated his conditions of release from a prior domestic violence case. Richard was arrested and transported to MSPT, where he was remanded and held without bail.

On 10/17/2025 at approximately 1400 hours, Alaska State Troopers and Alaska Wildlife Troopers responded to Chitina for a warrant arrest. Justin Brown, 39, of Kenny Lake was arrested on a warrant for leaving the scene of a crash resulting in death. The warrant was issued after a Grand Jury inditement stemming from an investigation from 2023. Brown was remanded into custody and on $15,000 bond.

On 10/16/2025 at approximately 2128 hours, Alaska State Troopers in Fairbanks responded to multiple reports of an adult male in traffic on University Ave in Fairbanks. Investigation revealed Landen Olin-Duncan, 21 YOA, was creating a hazardous condition with no legal justification. While AST was arresting Olin-Duncan, he physically resisted arrest and attempted to assault Troopers. Olin-Duncan was remanded to FCC on one (1) count each of Disorderly Conduct A.S. 11.61.110(a)(6), Resisting Arrest 11.56.700(a), and Assault 4th Degree A.S.11.41.230(a)(3).

On 10/16/2025 at 1801 hours the Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a large truck near Mile 247 Parks Highway for an equipment violation. Investigation determined the driver, Elvis Lena, age 26 from Anchorage was operating a commercial motor vehicle without possessing a commercial driver's license. Lena was issued a misdemeanor summons for Driving a CMV without a CDL and he was placed OOS until he obtains a CDL.

On October 17, 2025, the Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on Chena Hot Springs Road after observing a vehicle operating without headlights during hours of darkness. The driver was identified as Nathan Harris, age 36, of Fairbanks. A subsequent investigation determined that Harris was operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol. Harris was placed under arrest for Driving Under the Influence (DUI) and was remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center (FCC) without incident.
