On 10/17/2025, Alaska State Troopers in Anchor Point received a report of a fight occurring on the side of the Sterling Highway near Happy Valley. AST responded to the area and eventually located a vehicle parked several miles away at a pull-out. Subsequent investigation determined the driver, Anna Johnson (27 years old), had operated her vehicle while intoxicated and then assaulted her sister, who was also intoxicated. Additionally, Anna's sister was on conditions of release not to consume alcohol. Anna was arrested for Assault DV and DUI and remanded to Homer Jail and the sister was arrested for violating her conditions of release and remanded to Wildwood Pretrial.

On 10/18/25 at approximately 0214 hours, AST stopped a vehicle for a moving violation. Investigation found that Terry Bickford, 60, of Wasilla, was DUI. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pre-Trial on the charge of DUI.

On 10/18/2025 at approximately 1543 hours Glennallen AST responded to a single vehicle motor vehicle rollover accident near mile 108 of the Richardson Highway in Glennallen. Investigation revealed that the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle Lakota McRoberts, age 25 of Glennallen, was Driving While Under the Influence of Alcohol and while having a revoked driver's license. Charges of DUI and DWLR are being forwarded to the District Attorney Office.

On 10/18/2025 at approximately 1753 hours, AST received a report of a collision between a motorcycle and ATV in the area of Plumley Road. Investigation revealed that 3 people sustained non-life-threatening injuries. All three individuals involved were transported to Mat-Su Regional Hospital to receive care for their injuries.
Investigation is still ongoing.

On 10/18/25 at approximately 0000 hours, AST conducted a warrant arrest of Thomas Barbin, 27, of Wasilla. The warrant included charges of DV Assault 1, DV Assault 3, DV Assault 4, 2x DV Assault in the Presence of a Child, and Indecent Exposure 2. He was taken into custody without incident and remanded to Mat-Su Pre-Trial.

On 10/17/2025, Troopers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle with a non-functioning headlight. The driver, Jack Edward Hinds of Australia, was discovered to be impaired by an alcoholic beverage. He was arrested and remanded to FCC with no further incident.

On 10/18/2025, at approximately 0410 hours, I conducted a traffic stop on a dark-colored SUV for an equipment violation. The driver, identified as Jesse Vanreegnan-Orrison, showed signs of intoxication, including the odor of alcohol and poor performance on field sobriety tests. He provided a PBT result of 0.109 BrAC and a DataMaster result of 0.090 BrAC. Jesse was arrested for DUI.

On 10/18/2025 at approximately 1348 hours, Alaska State Troopers in Tok conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for multiple moving violations. Investigation revealed the driver, Wanda L. Isaac, to be under the influence of alcohol. Isaac was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and Driving While License Revoked. Isaac was served with a court date appearance and released on her own recognizance.

On 10/18/2025, AST received a report that 66-year-old Eduardo Martinez of Fairbanks had been found deceased in his residence. The State Medical Examiner’s office was consulted in conjunction with an on-scene investigation, which determined Eduardo died due to natural causes. Next of kin has been notified.

On 10/18/2025 at 1739 hours the Alaksa State Troopers conducted a traffic stop near Mile 265 Parks Highway for multiple equipment violations. Investigation determined Donovan Stephan-Standifer, age 18 from Anchorage allowed a person without a license to drive and he was also in possession of marijuana. Donovan was issued misdemeanor summons for Permitting an Unauthorized Person to Drive and MICS 6th.
