Location: SoldotnaType: Warrant arrest, flee/elude, reckless driving, and multiple traffic violationsDispatch Text:
CFS 4986 – On 11/12/2024 at approximately 2330 hours, AST Soldotna conducted a traffic stop in the 106 mile of the Sterling Highway for a traffic violation. During the contact, the white male driver fled the scene in the vehicle at a high rate of speed. AST pursued the vehicle northbound into Soldotna where additional AST and Soldotna PD units successfully used tire deflation devices on the fleeing vehicle. The pursuit ended as the suspect slid into a ditch and fled on foot into the woods on Skyline Drive where he was safely taken into custody. Anchor Point resident, 57-year-old, Richard A. Strassburg was arrested and remanded at the Wildwood Pretrial facility on two outstanding warrants for failure to appear and new charges of fleeing/elude in the 1st, reckless driving, violating conditions of release, failure to transfer title/registration, driving while license suspended, no vehicle liability insurance, and improper use of registration.

On 11/12/2024 at approximately 2000 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to and address off Sage Road in Wasilla attempting to locate Oleg Zhuchkov, 31 of Wasilla. Zhuchkov had active warrants for Failure to Appear for Pre-Trial Conference on the O/C of Theft 3, False Information x2, Assault 4, Disorderly Conduct x2, Criminal Trespass 2, and Violation of Conditions of Release. Troopers located Zhuchkov, placing him under arrest without incident. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial facility and held on $750 Cash Appearance bail.

On November 12, 2024, at 9:42 pm, the Alaska State Troopers received a report that an adult male was located deceased in a pickup truck at Government Peak Recreation Area. Troopers responded and located 49-year-old Wasilla resident Michael Farr deceased in his pickup truck from a suspected self-inflicted gunshot wound. Farr’s next of kin have been notified, and his body was sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy.

On November 13, 2024, at approximately 1735 hours Alaska State Troopers contacted Lelan Joe, age 31 of Tetlin, at his residence. Joe had an active warrant for his arrest in 4FA-22-00744CR. He was placed under arrest and remanded to the Fairbanks Correctional Center without incident.

On 11/13/2024 at approximately 1732 hours, the Alaska State Troopers in Delta Junction were notified of a 58-year-old female and her 2-year-old grandson that had become separated from there party while hiking at Castner Glacier, near mile post 217 of the Richardson Hwy. Conditions had become dark, and visibility was low due to blowing snow. SAR resources including AST, Fort Greely Fire and Rescue, Deltana Fire, and PAWS were notified and in the process of responding. At 1835 hours, AST was notified that both subjects had been located and were safe and uninjured.

On 11/13/2024 at approximately 1448 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a secondhand report of an Assualt. Investigation revealed a disturbance occurred in the parking lot of NAPA Auto Parts store in Tok. Roylon E. Mark, age 39 was placed under arrest for an outstanding arrest warrant stemming from court case 3PA-24-00692CR, as well as charged with Assault IV DV x2 and Violation of Conditions x2 from two separate court cases (4TO-23-00104CR and 4TO-23-00112CR). Mark was transported to Fairbanks Correctional Center and held without bail.

On 11/13/2024 at approximately 1456 hours, the Alaska State Troopers in Delta Junction were notified of a motor vehicle collision near mile post 223 of the Richardson Hwy, where a semi-truck attempted to pass another vehicle and struck there snowmachine trailer. The semi-truck continued traveling northbound, failing to stop to provide required information. The semi-truck is believed to be a Peterbilt, white and blue in color. Investigation continues.

On November 12, 2024, at approximately 1555 hours Alaska State Troopers in Tok observed a vehicle fail to stop for a School Bus with flashing red lights and stop arm extended. The vehicle was stopped, and the driver was identified as Charolette Troupe, age 68 of Tok, who was charged with Failing to Stop for a School Bus.

Location: EmmonakType: Death InvestigationDispatch Text:
On November 13, 2024 at 4:21 am, the Alaska State Troopers were notified that 31-year-old Emmonak resident Lucas Agathluk had been stabbed at a residence in Emmonak. Agathluk was taken to the Emmonak clinic where he died from his injuries. The Alaska Bureau of Investigation responded and assumed case responsibility. A preliminary investigation determined that Agathluk was stabbed as he attempted to force entry into an adult male’s residence. It is believed that the adult male stabbed Agathluk due to his actions. After consulting with the District Attorney’s Office, it was determined that based on the evidence that this is an instance of self defense and charges have not been filed against the adult man. Agathluk’s next of kin have been notified and his body has been sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy. The investigation continues.
