On 11/04/2025 at approximately 1932 hours, members of the Criminal Suppression Unit (CSU) conducted a traffic stop on W Schulz Drive in Wasilla. The driver was identified as Qalgilan Miller III, and the passenger was identified as Demi McDonald. The investigation revealed that Miller and McDonald were in possession of methamphetamine, heroin, and thirteen stolen access devices including credit cards, driver’s licenses, and a social security card. Additionally, Miller was driving with a revoked license and without motor vehicle insurance. CSU researched Miller and McDonald’s criminal history and discovered that both had previous Misconduct Involving Controlled Substances (MICS) convictions and numerous theft convictions. Furthermore, Miller was on conditions of release for a felony theft case. Miller was placed under arrest for two counts of MICS in the Fourth Degree, thirteen counts of Theft in the Second Degree, one count of Driving with License Revoked (DWLR), one count of No Vehicle Insurance, and one count of Violating Conditions of Release (VCOR). McDonald was placed under arrest for two counts of MICS in Fourth Degree and thirteen counts of Theft in the Second Degree. Both Miller and McDonald were remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial without bail. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are forthcoming.

On October 30th, 2025, the Alaska State Troopers received a tip of a possible importation of alcohol to the village of Alakanuk. Alakanuk is a "dry" local option community.
Troopers contacted the suspect and investigation resulted in the seizure of 7 bottles of alcohol destined for Alakanuk. Tristan Joseph, 27, of Alakanuk was charged with Importation of Alcohol. The charge was referred to the Bethel DAO.

On November 5th, 2025, the Alaska State Troopers received a report of Importation of Alcohol to the village of Chevak, a local option community.
Investigation resulted in the seizure of 8 bottles of alcohol. Phoenix Chayalkun, 29, of Chevak was charged with Importation of Alcohol. This charge was referred to the Bethel DAO.

On October 30th, 2025, the Alaska State Troopers conducted an importation investigation after receiving information regarding a suspected bootlegger in Tuluksak. Investigation resulted in the seizure of 5 bottles destined for Tuluksak, a "dry" local option community.
Ian Jasper, 27, of Tuluksak was charged with Importation of Alcohol. This charge was referred to the Bethel DAO.

On 11/4/2025, at approximately 1551 hours, Troopers responded to the Extended Stay Hotel after staff reported an intoxicated male had driven into the parking lot. The driver, identified as Scott Alstrom, showed strong signs of intoxication, including slurred speech, swaying, and the odor of alcohol. He failed field sobriety tests and later provided a DataMaster result of 0.319 BrAC. Alstrom was found to be on conditions of release prohibiting alcohol consumption. He was remanded to FCC

On November 04, 2025, at approximately 2300 hours Fairbanks AST dispatch received a call for a suspicious circumstance off College Rd. Caller advised there was a male in a verbal argument with another male causing a disturbance. Upon Troopers arrival one of the males involved in the disturbance was identified as Paul Valangeon (34). Paul had two warrants out for his arrest. After Paul was advised of his arrest he continued to flee and resist arrest. Along with Paul's warrants he was additionally charged with Disorderly Conduct and Resisting arrest. Paul was remanded to FCC.

On 11/05/2025 at approximately 0226 hours, Alaska State Troopers in Fairbanks conducted a traffic stop on a red 2007 GMC Yukon for expired plates in Fairbanks. Investigation revealed the driver, Tiereny Searles 29 YOA, was driving when her AK driver's license was revoked. Searles was issued a summons for DWLR AS 28.15.219(a)(2) and was released.

On 10/31/2025 at approximately 0813 hours, Alaska State Troopers were patrolling the Tok Cutoff Hwy. near the school zone. A red 2005 Jeep Liberty bearing AK plate KMS368 was observed speeding through the active school zone with flashing lights activated. A traffic stop was initiated, and subsequent investigation resulted in a DUI arrest of Angie L. David, age 41. David was placed under arrest and remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center and held without bail due to this being a Felony DUI.

On November 05, 2025, at approximately 1927 hours 911 received a report that, Abigail Testa (34F) or North Pole, had stolen a vehicle from the Steese / Farmer's Loop Transfer Site. State Troopers observed the vehicle travelling southbound on the Richardson HWY (MP358) and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. Troopers located Abigail and placed her under arrest. Abigail was remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center for one count of Vehicle Theft in the first Degree without further issue.

On 11/04/2025 at 1600 hours, a local bank contacted the Alaska State Troopers to report receiving a suspicious telephone call from someone reporting to be “Sergeant Fritz” with the Alaska State Troopers Anchorage Post. The “Sergeant” said he was trying to contact an employee regarding a personal matter.
Recognizing the potential for this call being a scam, the bank requested verification from the REAL Alaska State Troopers of “Sergeant Fritz” employment.
The REAL Alaska State Troopers called the number back and found a voicemail prompt stating it was the Alaska State Troopers.
“Sergeant Fritz” called back and was confronted by the Alaska State Troopers and disconnected his call almost immediately.
Don’t be fooled by “Sergeant Fritz”. He’s a scammer, and the REAL Alaska State Troopers want you to remain safe and secure.

On 10/31/2025 at approximately 0928 hours, Court Services Officers assigned to Anchorage Judicial Services arrested Quinton Yeager, age 35, from Anchorage. Yeager had an active warrant for his arrest for Violating DV Protective Order. Yeager was remanded to Anchorage Jail with bail set at $500 cash performance.
