On 4/15/2025 at approximately 2108 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of a dead moose in the roadway in a neighborhood off Skyline Drive in Soldotna. Investigation revealed it had been shot by Christopher Arthur Newgren, age 49 of Soldotna. Newgren said he intended to shoot near the moose, to scare it away, after it had been rubbing against his house and eating berry bushes. He did not realize he had inadvertently struck and killed it with the shot. Newgren was issued misdemeanor citations for Misconduct Involving Weapons 4th and Take Moose Closed Season.

On 04/17/2025 at approximately 1230 hours, Alaska State Troopers and VPSOs responded to a residence, in Glennallen, to look for a male with an active warrant. Upon further investigation, Clinten James Martin, 25, of Glennallen, was arrested on a failure to appear warrant. Martin was remanded to the custody.

On 4/17/2025 at approximately 0400 hours, AST was contacted by a resident on Blackie Loop in Willow reporting damage to their front window. It was initially reported that the window had potentially been shot. AST responded and investigation revealed a neighbor identified as Bryan Mills 60 YOA, of Willow, had damaged the homeowner’s front window with a slingshot. Bryan was located sleeping in the tree line across from the residence, still in possession of a slingshot. Bryan was arrested and remanded to MSPT, where he was held without bail.

On 04/17/2025 at approximately 1555 hours Alaska State Troopers received a call for a welfare check on an employee MICHAEL KOCHUTEN age 36 of Palmer that had not shown up for work. Troopers arrived and contacted a female that had visible injuries. After further investigation, Michael was arrested for Assault 4 and was remanded to Mat-Su Pre-Trial without further incident.

On 4/16/2025 at approximately 2344 hours, AST received a report of a disturbance at a residence on Anthony Road in Houston. Investigation revealed that Isaac John-Giles, 31 YOA of Wasilla, had assaulted a family member, causing physical injury. Isaac was arrested and remanded to MSPT, where he was held without bail. Isaac was charged with one count of assault in the 4th degree (DV). During the investigation, AST contacted a Christopher Fuller, 47 YOA of Anchorage, where it was revealed that Christoper had several active warrants for his arrest. Christopher was also arrested and remanded to MSPT, where he was held on $100 bail.

On 04/17/2025 at approximately 0111 hours, Troopers responded to the area of mile 111 Richardson Hwy, for a report of a disturance. Upon further investigation, Coby Stanton, 39, of Glennallen, was arrested and charged with Assault 4 (DV), Criminal Mischief 4 (DV) and Assault in the presence of a child. Stanton was transported to the Glennallen Jail and held without bail.

Location: KalskagType: Assault InvestigationDispatch Text:
On April 16, 2025, the Alaska State Troopers were notified that an adult female was stabbed in the village of Kalskag. The female received non-life-threatening injuries and was treated and released at the local clinic. On April 17th, Troopers traveled to Kalskag and contacted everyone involved. No charges have been filed at this time, and the investigation is active and ongoing.
While in Kalskag investigating the assault, Troopers determined that 26-year-old Marshall resident Dominic Isaac was in violation of his probation conditions. Issac was remanded to Yukon Kuskokwim Correctional Center on charges of PTRP.

On April 17, 2025, Fairbanks AST responded to an active disturbance in North Pole. Investigation revealed Jason Hansen was the principal physical aggressor and was arrested for multiple felonious and misdemeanor charges. Jason Hansen was transported to FCC.

On April 17, 2025, at approximately 1438 hours, Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop for a moving violation in North Pole. Following a records check, the driver, Jeanna Dockter (61F), was found to be wanted for multiple Felony warrants. Jeanna was arrested, transported, and remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center without further issue.

Location: North PoleType: Vehicle Pursuit / Stolen VehicleDispatch Text:
On April 17, 2025 at approximately 1655 hours, AST was patrolling on Holmes Rd. AST observed a male on a yellow Can Am ATV traveling at a high rate of speed on Holmes Rd. AST attempted to conduct a traffic stop, however; the vehicle failed to yield. The vehicle fled and lead AST on a pursuit through residential neighborhood's along Dennis Rd. During the pursuit the vehicle drove in a reckless manner and sped past numerous pedestrians who were out walking. The vehicle and driver were eventually apprehended by AST units on Mill Pond Ln. A check of the vehicles VIN revealed it had been stolen in Fairbanks in 2021 (FPD Case # 21-004012). The driver Jacob Pluard (age 37) was placed under arrest for Failure to Stop at the Direction of a Peace Officer in the 1st degree (class C felony), as well as Theft in the Second Degree (class C felony). Pluard was remanded to the Fairbanks Correctional Center on his charges.
