    On 6/26/25 at approximately 2202 hours, Troopers were notified of a domestic disturbance around Marble Way in Wasilla. It was reported that William Bell, 36, of Wasilla, assaulted a household member with a knife. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pre-Trial on charges of Assault in the 3rd degree and Criminal Mischief in the 5th degree.

    On 6/26/2025, AST responded to Parks Highway and Trunk Rd for a disturbance. Troopers located a female, Summer Bowers, highly intoxicated and attempting to jump in front of vehicles. She was placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct and transported to Mat-Su Pre-Trial facility and held on OR bail until sober.

    On June 26, 2025, at 7:14 pm, the Alaska State Troopers were notified that an adult male had fallen into the Noatak River near Noatak. Local search teams from Noatak responded and began searching the area. At around 10:00 pm, Troopers were notified that search teams located 21-year-old Noatak resident Harry Penn Jr. deceased. No foul play is suspected at this time. Penn’s body will be sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy. His next of kin have been notified.

    On June 27, 2025, at approximately 1736 hours, Fairbanks AST arrested Wyatt Martin, age 34, in the area of Holmes Road for his outstanding warrant. Wyatt was transported and remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center without incident

    On June 27, 2025, at approximately 1510 hours, AST received a report of a welfare check in the area of Thomas Loop Road in Delta Junction. AST responded, and an investigation revealed Matthew Dawson, age 48, of Delta Junction, was deceased. No foul play is suspected, and the State Medical Examiner has been notified. NOK was notified.

    On June 26, 2025, at approximately 2058 hours Troopers responded to a disturbance outside North Pole. Justin Barboza and Emma Barboza got in a verbal argument which ended in Justin throwing her cell phone across the room. The phone was damaged, and Justin was arrested for Criminal Mischief 4.

    UPDATE:  On 06/27/2025 at 2158 hours Vincent Roberts was taken into custody near Stampede Road in Healy.  The Parks Highway Troopers were assisted by Troopers from Fairbanks, the Fairbanks Criminal Suppression Unit, AWT, Helo 2, National Park Rangers, a National Park helicopter, the Northern AST SWAT Team, Alaska Railroad Police, Troopers from the Matsu Valley, K9 Blitz, Tri-Valley EMS/Fire, and other partners.  AST would like to thank the public for assistance and tips leading to the apprehension of Roberts.

     

     

    On 06/26/2025 at 1917 hours Parks Highway Troopers conducted a traffic stop near Mile 189 Parks Highway for a moving violation.  The vehicle initially stopped but then decided to drive away.  The driver was identified as Vincent Roberts, age 40 from Fairbanks.  AST pursued Roberts for 56 miles to Mile 245 where his car was successfully stopped when Roberts crashed after AST deflated his tires and performed a PIT maneuver, but Roberts fled on foot.  AST utilized an unmanned drone, HELO 2, and assistance from AWT and NPS Rangers from Denali.  As of this time Roberts has not been located by AST and an arrest warrant has been requested for him.  Anyone having to take evasive action from Roberts driving is requested to contact Trooper David Bozman at 907-451-5100. Roberts should be considered armed and dangerous.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 06/26/25 at 1843 hours, AST performed a traffic stop on a tan 2016 Subaru for erratic driving on the Parks Highway in downtown Wasilla. The vehicle had also been called in as a REDDI in Meadow Lakes 15 minutes prior. Investigation revealed Abigail Ritz, age 24 of Pennsylvania, was driving under the influence of alcohol and she was arrested for DUI. Ritz was subsequently remanded into the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and released O/R when sober.
