On 12/28/25 at approximately 1331 hours, Anchor Point AST arrived at the intersection of the Sterling Highway and Chillywind Drive with a green 2002 Ford Focus in the ditch. The driver was identified as Guy A. Foreman (45 YOA) of Anchor Point and his Louisiana DL was confirmed to be suspended. Courtview confirms that Foreman has two prior convictions for DWLS with the most recent conviction on 12/17/25. Foreman was issued a misdemeanor summons for Driving While License Suspended with a court date set for a later date.

On December 29, 2025, Seward AST received multiple 911 calls about a vehicle in the ditch and an intoxicated driver. The vehicle was freed from the snow and continued northbound in the southbound lanes of travel. The driver crashed again and was stuck in the snow. Upon investigation, the driver, Foma Reutov of Homer, was arrested for driving under the influence and remanded to Spring Creek Correctional Center for DUI.

On 12/29/2025, at approximately 1655 hours, Alaska State Troopers were on a routine patrol of Anchor Point. James Dixon, age 55, of Anchor Point, was contacted during a traffic stop. Investigation revealed that James’ driving privileges were revoked. He was issued a misdemeanor summons for Driving While Revoked.

On 12/29/2025 at 1445 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to Mat-Su Regional Hospital for the report of a motor vehicle collision vs the building. Investigation revealed, the driver had a mechanical issue causing him to collide with the building causing significant damage. The driver displayed no signs of impairment, and no injuries were reported.

On 12/28/2025 Alaska State Troopers responded to a residence in Palmer for a report of an assault. Darrick Shelvin, age 39, of Palmer, was arrested for Assault 4th and Assault in the presence of a child after investigation found he recklessly caused physical injury to another household member. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial without bond pending arraignment.

Investigation revealed Michael Smith, age 64 of Wasilla, was found deceased by his roommate. SME was notified and released the remains. UPDATE, 1:30 p.m. Dec. 29, 2025: The human remains were positively identified as 60-year-old Maria Cellarius. Her next of kin was notified.
UPDATE, Dec. 29, 2025: On Dec. 27, 2025, human remains were located at the scene. The remains were sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for positive identification. The investigation into the origin and cause of the fire is ongoing.
ORIGINAL: On Dec. 25, 2025, Alaska State Troopers received a report around 2:15 a.m. about a structure fire on the McCarthy Road. The residence had fully burned by the time troopers reached the scene. One adult male was transported by medics to a hospital for injuries and one adult is unaccounted for. Alaska Fire Marshals responded to the scene to investigate the origin and cause of the fire. That investigation is ongoing.

On December 28, 2025, at approximately 5:50 p.m., Alaska State Troopers received a report of an assault involving a juvenile in North Pole. The investigation determined that the father assaulted his 15-year-old daughter during a domestic dispute at his residence on 12/27/25.
