    On 02/12/2026 at approximately 2149 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a vehicle in the ditch near the intersection of the Parks Highway and Dana Court in Houston.

    AST responded, and the investigation revealed that the driver, identified as Fred Arnold, 70 years old of Willow, was operating his vehicle under the influence of alcohol.  Fred was transported to Mat-Su Pretrial, where he was held on his own recognizance.  Fred was charged with one count of Driving Under the Influence.

    On 02/13/2026 at approximately 0230 hours, Alaska State Troopers and EMS responded to a motor vehicle crash in Big Lake. The investigation revealed Cassalina Priddle, age 36 of Wasilla, recklessly caused the collision by her deliberate actions as a passenger. Cassalina was placed under arrest for DV assault in the third degree against the driver of her vehicle and three counts assault in the third degree against all passengers of the other vehicle, including a juvenile. Cassalina was remanded to MSPT with no set bail. Alcohol was a contributing factor.

    On 02/12/2026 at approximately 1744 hours Troopers responded to a wildlife call. A calf moose had been living in a resident's yard for approximately a month. Multiple efforts were previously made to scare off the moose, all of which failed. On the 12th, the moose injured a dog and was dispatched. A charity was contacted and took possession of the moose.

    On February 13, 2026, at approximately 1342 hours, Alaska State Troopers contacted a male pedestrian near N. Williwaw Way and E. Totem Road in Wasilla for walking in the roadway and failing to walk on the nearest left edge as required. During the contact, the male refused to provide identification and physically resisted detention. Additional troopers responded and assisted in taking the male into custody after a brief struggle. Letheus Retes, 44, of Wasilla, was arrested for Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest and remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial where he was released on his own recognizance.

    UPDATE, Feb. 18, 2026: Andrew Tall turned himself in to law enforcement early on Feb. 18, 2026. He was remanded on charges of kidnapping, one count of first-degree assault, four charges of third-degree assault and one count of fourth-degree assault.

    ORIGINAL: Alaska State Troopers are asking anyone with information about the whereabouts of 23-year-old Andrew Tall to call 911. Tall is a suspect in an ongoing Chevak assault investigation. DO NOT APPROACH TALL IF YOU SEE HIM. HE IS BELIEVED TO BE ARMED AND DANGEROUS.     On 02/12/2026 at approximately 2323 hours, Alaska State Troopers in Fairbanks received a report Donavin Bass, 27 YOA, was reported to be violating his conditions of release. Bass was ultimately located in a wooded area off Badger Road in North Pole and fled from AST and NPPD upon contact. Bass was ultimately apprehended and remanded to FCC on multiple charges of VCOR.

    On 02/11/2026 at approximately 0818 hours Alaska State Trooper responded to a report of a vehicle causing damage to a building on private property in Cantwell. Investigation showed a Semi with a flat bed trailer entered a driveway to a private residence and continued through the property to a dead end. The Semi attempted to turn around on the property. While leaving the area the Semi drove through the corner of a green house on the property. The driver, Jason Horsman, age 34 of Canada, was contacted near in Wasilla. Charges for leaving the scene of an accident have been sent to the DAO.

    On 02/11/2026 at approximately 1626 hours Alaska State Troopers investigated a report of a motor vehicle collision near mile 150 Parks Highway. A motorist reported a front to rear collision with a semi-trailer. The semi continued unaware of the collision. AST was not able to locate the involved semi. No injuries and minor damage were reported.

    AST conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for running the red light at the intersection of the Mittchell Expressway and Peger Road. AST investigation revealed that the operator, Trystan Mackenzie (38) of Fairbanks, was operating a motor vehicle under the influence of an alcoholic beverage and was determined to have a breath alcohol content of 0.153. Trystan was arrested and remanded to FCC.

    On 02/12/2026 the Alaska State Troopers started an investigation for an abandoned vehicle at Mile 247 Parks Highway, near Healy.  AST was unable to contact the registered owner and a summons for Unlawful Abandonment has been requested for the owner.
