On 03/26/2026, at approximately 1638 hours, AST conducted a traffic stop near milepost 142.5 of the Sterling Hwy for speeding. The driver, identified as Kamaria Holloway, age 39 of Anchorage, was determined to be operating the vehicle with a suspended license. She was issued a summons to appear for a mandatory court appearance and released.

On 3/27/2026 at about 1152 hours, the Alaska State Troopers in Soldotna received a report of a single vehicle collision at the intersection of Kalifornsky Beach Road and West Poppy Lane. A sedan collided with a traffic control light pole at the intersection, causing partial road blockage. AST responded and contacted the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, 25 year-old Benjamin Pollard of Soldotna. Pollard was assessed for injuries and cleared by emergency medical services. Investigation revealed Pollard was driving under the influence of alcohol when he collided with the light pole. AST arrested Pollard for DUI, and testing indicated his breath alcohol content was .199. AST remanded Pollard to Wildwood Pre-Trial Facility without incident.

Joseph had an active arrest warrant with the charges of Sexual Abuse of A minor in the 1st and Second Degree. On 03/25/2026, The Alaska State Troopers in Soldotna received a request from a family member for a welfare check a 77 year old male. The family had reported that he was last heard from on Saturday 03/21/2025 and he told family that he would be snowshoeing around his property but his family has not heard from him since. Troopers responded to his home but he was not located inside. A search was then initiated on the land surrounding the house. The man was located deceased outside on his property. The State Medical Examiner was contacted and released the decedent to family. Next of kin have been notified. No foul play is suspected.

On 03/27/2026 at about 1805 hours, the Alaska State Troopers contacted and arrested Melvin Charles, age 64, of Ketchikan at mile 2 of the South Tongass Highway. Charles had an outstanding arrest warrant issued by the Ketchikan Courthouse. The original charge stemmed from Harassment in the 2nd Degree. Charles was transported and remanded to Ketchikan Correctional Center with no bail.

Falkner had an outstanding arrest warrant issued by the Ketchikan Courthouse. The original charge stemmed from DWLS. Falkner was transported and remanded to Ketchikan Correctional Center.

On 03/26/2026, Alaska State Troopers contacted a vehicle in Big Lake after identifying passenger Christopher McNaulty, age 27, of Big Lake, as having an active $500 warrant for DWLR and no motor vehicle insurance. McNaulty was arrested and subsequently found to be in possession of methamphetamine. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility on the additional charges of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree and Violation of Conditions of Release. The driver, Ernest Geisler, age 66, of Wasilla, was found to be operating with a revoked license and had multiple prior DWLR convictions. Geisler was issued a misdemeanor citation and released from the scene.

On 3/26/2026 at approximately 1348 hours, Palmer Judicial Services was escorting inmates to a holding cell following arraignments at the Palmer Courthouse when Inmate Aaron Lashbrook, age 36, of Wasilla bit a Court Services Officer causing minor injuries. Lashbrook was subsequently charged with Assault IV on a Peace Officer, Disorderly Conduct, and Violating Conditions of Release with bail set at $250.
