On April 24, 2025 the Alaska State Troopers received a report that an unexploded grenade was discovered on a beach in Ketchikan by a survey crew. After further investigation, Troopers determined that the ordinance was likely still live and located near mile 8 of the North Tongass Highway. Troopers and other law enforcement officers secured the beach area. On April 26, 2025 an explosive ordinance team from the US Army in Anchorage arrived in Ketchikan and moved the grenade to a safe location and detonated it safely.

On 4/26/2025, Alaska State Troopers in Anchor Point on a routine patrol recognized Amanda Oviatt, who was known to have an outstanding arrest warrant. Subsequent investigation determined Amanda was in contact with a victim from a prior case and in violation of her conditions of release. Amanda was remanded to Homer Jail without bail on her outstanding warrant, 1x count unlawful contact in the 1st degree, and 2x counts of VCOR.

Location: TalkeetnaType: DV Assault 3 x 2, MIW 4Dispatch Text:
On 04/26/2025 AST was flagged down by a passerby near Talkeetna, to report an Assault that had occurred. Investigation revealed that Peter Hein, age 59, of Talkeetna, had threatened family members with a firearm while intoxicated. Peter was transported to Mat-Su pretrial where he was remanded without bail for DV A3 x 2, and MIW 4.

On 4/26/2025 at approximately 1100 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a theft report from a convenience store in Willow. AST responded to the area and located Darcy Tyone, age 43 of Fairbanks, who had stolen items on his person. Tyone was issued a misdemeanor citation for Theft IV to appear in court at a later date.

On 04/26/2025 at approximately 0048 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a disturbance at 8266 Hollywood Rd. in Wasilla. AST responded and contacted Michael McRae, of Wasilla inside a van. Investigation revealed that Michael had an outstanding warrant for failing to remand for DUI and driving while licenses suspended, canceled or revoked. Michael was arrested and remanded at Mat-Su Pretrial where he was held without bail.

On 4-26-25, Family members reported their juvenile daughter, Mendalina Wilson, age 13 was missing. She goes by Mandy. She was last seen in bed at the residence around 2200 hours. Mandy was described to be wearing white converse shoes, grey loose pants, a light grey crop top, and a hoodie. She is 13 years old, weighs maybe 90lbs, and has purple dye in her hair.
Mandy was located and is safe.

On April 26, 2025, at approximately 2:48 AM, Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of an assault following a notification from Fairbanks Memorial Hospital. Hospital staff informed the troopers that a woman had been physically assaulted and sustained serious injuries, including potential brain trauma. Christian Hunter, who was under conditions of release that prohibited any direct or indirect contact with her, was arrested for several charges: Assault in the Second Degree, Assault in the Fourth Degree, two counts of Assault in the Presence of a Child, Unlawful Contact in the First Degree, and numerous violations of his conditions of release. 2 counts of Assault in the Presence of a Child, Unlawful Contact in the First Degree, and numerous Violations of Conditions of Release.

On 04/26/2025 at approximately 1340 hours a Trooper conducted a traffic stop for an equipment violation and seatbelt violation. After further investigation, approximately 26 grams of suspected methamphetamine was seized from Peggy Oneil. This investigation is active.

On 04/25/2025 at approximately 2021 hours a Trooper conducted a traffic stop for a registration violation. After further investigation, a small amount of suspected methamphetamine was seized from Sabrina Kinne-Harding. Charges will be pending lab results.

On April 26, 2025, at approximately 1251 hours, the Alaska State Trooper received a REDDI report at MP344 Richardson Hwy. The vehicle was contacted, and the driver was identified as Kyle Beard. Investigation revealed that Kyle was driving under the influence of a controlled substance. Kyle was remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center one count of DUI and one count of VCOR.

On 04/25/2025, Alaska State Troopers (AST) in Galena received a report of a domestic violence assault in the community of Koyukuk. AST responded via state aircraft to investigate. Investigation revealed Percy Lolnitz Jr. (age 27 of Koyukuk) placed a family member in fear of imminent physical injury. Percy was also found to be on conditions of release from a prior incident. Percy was arrested and transported to Fairbanks where he was remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center (FCC) on one count of Assault in the Fourth Degree (DV) and Violation of Conditions of Release (VCOR).
