On 5/18/25 at approximately 1808 hours, Mat Su Troopers received a report of a disturbance at a residence on S Brimstone Dr in Wasilla. Investigation revealed Frank Robbins age 61 of Wasilla, assaulted someone in the residence. He was arrested for Assault 4 DV and transported to MSPT where his bail was set at no bail.

On 05/18/2025 at approximately 2340 hours Wasilla Police and Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a Blue Ford Fusion that had recently crashed into a sign in the area of Palmer Wasilla Highway and Parks Highway. The driver was identified as Daniel Conway, age 44 of Palmer. Investigation revealed that Daniel was Operating the vehicle while intoxicated. Daniel was remanded to Mat-Su Pre-Trial for OUI, No Proof of Insurance and Action of Operator Immediately After Accident.

On May 17, 2025, at approximately 1415 hours, the Alaska State Troopers responded to the area of University Avenue for a report of an individual trespassing. The investigation revealed that Quentin Demoski was in violation of his probation. Demoski was remanded to the Fairbanks Correctional Center on Probation Violation.

On May 17, 2025, at approximately 2221 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to the area of Grange Hall Road for the report of an individual ramming a vehicle of an ex-girlfriend and chasing it down an ATV trail. Investigation revealed that the car contained five individuals, including children. Jordan Lewis was arrested and charged with five counts of Assault in the Third Degree and three counts of Assault in the Presence of a Child.

On 05/18/2025, at approximately 0108 hours, Alaska State Troopers in Fairbanks conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle bearing plate KPV656. The driver, Michael Carroll, age 22 of Fairbanks, was arrested for driving under the influence and misconduct involving weapons in the fourth degree.

On 05/18/2025 at approximately 0731 hours, Troopers responded to the Chena Pump boat launch to multiple 911 calls reporting a female lying in the roadway possibly needing medical assistance. Investigation revealed two females under the legal drinking age of 21 were intoxicated, and one was detained. Lilyanne Jelinek became agitated, demanding troopers release the other female and swinging at one trooper, and was charged with Assault in the Fourth Degree.

On 05/17/2025 at 2250 hours a Trooper conducted a traffic stop for a turn signal violation. The Trooper developed reasonable suspicion that the occupants of the vehicle were involved in narcotic activity. K9 Kenny was requested and responded to the scene. K9 Kenny had a positive indication on the vehicle. Ultimately, a search warrant was conducted and 56.5 grams of suspected methamphetamine, a scale, and a stolen handgun was seized from the vehicle. This investigation is ongoing.

On 05/17/2025 at 1000 hours, athletes, law enforcement, and local residents joined 15 other communities across Alaska in the Special Olympics Torch Run. The event which took place at the Delta Junction Visitor's Center and along the Alaska Highway brought members of the community together to meet law enforcement and our local Special Olympic athlete! All money donated including donations online goes to the Special Olympics.
The Alaska State Troopers would like to thank the Rural Deltana Volunteer Fire Department for their assistance in providing traffic control and encouraging runners along the run route. Some members of RDVFD also participated in the run!
Additionally, the troopers would like to thank our local IGA for donating Subway meals after the run.

On May 17th, 2025, AST conducted a traffic stop near mile 120 of the Tok Cutoff for an equipment violation. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Jaden Northway, age 24 of Gakona. Subsequent investigation found Jaden to be driving under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested and later released on his own recognizance to a sober party.

On 5/17/2025 at approximately 0830 hours, Alaska Wildlife Troopers were patrolling the South Kasilof beach Halibut shore fishing. Investigation revealed William Hickey age 36 from Anchorage, was sportfishing for halibut and did not have his 2025 Sport Fishing License in his possession. Hickey was issued a citation.
