    Type: MVC - Injury, DUI

    Dispatch Text:

    On 5/12/25 at 1650 hours, Troopers responded to a single vehicle crash near mile 1.5 of the Old Sterling Highway. An investigation showed the driver, Meranda Cary, 36 of Homer, had driven off the road in her vehicle and received non-life-threatening injuries. She was transported to South Peninsula Hospital for treatment. Further investigation showed Cary had been driving the vehicle under the influence of alcohol.  Cary was issued a summons to appear in court on charges of DUI.

    On 06/08/2025 at approximately 1353 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a stolen Kawasaki KLX110 form an address on Gershmel Loop in Palmer. Anyone with information on this incident is urged to contact Troopers, Crime Stoppers, or AK Tips.

    Type: Attempted Theft & Trespass

    Dispatch Text:

    On 06/08/2025 at approximately 1353 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to an address on Marble Way in Wasilla for a disturbance. Investigation revealed two juveniles trespassed on private property and attempted to steal a bicycle. The homeowner was able to stop the theft by tackling the suspect. Charges are being filed with Dept. Juvenile Justice.

    Location: Wasilla
    Type: Warrant Arrest x2

    Dispatch Text:

    On 6/8/2025, at approximately 1000 hours, AST responded to a residence on Aspen Ave in Wasilla for a follow up investigation. AST contacted Sarah Brooks, age 40 of Wasilla. Investigation revealed that Sarah had an outstanding arrest warrant for the original crimes of Burglary I, Criminal Mischief III, Criminal Trespass I and VCOR x3. AST contacted David Inman, age 47 of Wasilla on the property. Investigation revealed that David had an outstanding arrest warrant for the original crimes of DUI, MIW IV and VCOR x2. Sarah and David were arrested and transported to Matsu Pretrial. Sarah was held on no bail and David was held on a $500 bail.

    Type: Burglary 1st

    Dispatch Text:

    On 06/07/2025 at approximately 2130 hours AST received a report about a man in a cabin near Mile 176 Parks Highway.  The homeowner located an individual in his house.  Investigation determined Michael Haynes, age 42 from Anchorage entered the residence, cooked and ate food, and stole a pair of shoes belonging to the homeowner.  Haynes was subsequently arrested for Burglary 1st, Theft 3rd, and Criminal Mischief 5th.  Haynes was remanded to Palmer Pretrial Correctional Facility where he was held without bail pending arraignment.

    On 06/08/2025 at approximately 0156 hours, Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near the area of Goldhill Road in Fairbanks. Investigation revealed that Megan John, age 37 of Fairbanks, was driving while under the influence of alcohol. Megan was arrested for driving under the influence and remanded into custody at Fairbanks Correctional Center.

    On June 8, 2025, at approximately the Alaska State Troopers responded to the area of University Avenue for a deceased individual. The decedent was found to have passed away of natural causes. Next of Kin was notified and the body was released to a funeral home.

    On June 8, 2025, AST received a call of a possible DV assault from a third party. Michael Lamoreax, reported that he was on the phone with Kelsie Gutierrez and overheard her and Kyrie Halden yelling at each other, and then stated that it sounded like Kyrie was hitting Kelsie. The caller indicated that Kelsie had left the residence in a Subaru. AST located Kelsie and interviewed her. a 12-hour PC arrest has been placed on Kyrie for DV Crim Mis 4, VCOR, and Unlawful Contact.

    On 6/8/2025 at approximately 0100 hours, the Eagle VPSO received a report of a non DV disturbance involving Patrick "Sonny" Potts, 54, of Eagle. Alaska State Troopers responded, and the investigation revealed Sonny to have committed Burglary 2, Criminal Trespass 1, Criminal Mischief 5, Misconduct involving Weapons 4 and Assault 4. Sonny was arrested and remanded at Fairbanks Correctional Center.

    Type: Illegal Bear Bait

    Dispatch Text:

    On 06/02/2025, Alaska Wildlife Troopers in Palmer conducted a bear bait patrol in the area of Petersville.  AWT located a bear bait station registered to Cassandra Nickels, age 33 of Wasilla.  Investigation revealed that the bait station was less than 1/4 mile away from Petersville Rd. Nickels was cited for Use of Bait or Scent Lures within 1/4 Mile of a Publically Maintained Road.
