    Type: Assault 2nd degree x2, Assault 4th degree- Fear x2

    Dispatch Text:

    On 7/6/2025 at approximately 0837 hours, Anchor Point AST took the report of a physical disturbance at a residence in Anchor Point. AST responded and interviewed all parties involved. Investigation revealed that Wyatt D. Fink (28) of Anchor Point had struck a family member in the head with a rock two times and placed them in fear of imminent physical injury two times. Fink was arrested for assault in the 2nd degree DV x2 and assault in the 4th degree – fear DV x2. Fink was transported to Homer Jail for booking with no bail.

    Type: Fatal Vehicle Collision

    On July 4, 2025, the Alaska State Troopers were notified of a single-vehicle collision in Angoon. A preliminary investigation determined that 88-year-old Angoon resident Wally Frank Sr. was the sole passenger in a Chevrolet SUV when the vehicle lost control and rolled. Medical personnel in Angoon attempted life saving efforts, however, Frank died as a result of his injuries. His body was sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy, and his next of kin have been notified.

    *This release has been updated to reflect that Frank was the passenger, not the driver, of the vehicle.

    On 7/7/25 at approximately 1942 hours, AST received a report of a disturbance near Frontier Dr in Wasilla. AST responded and investigation revealed Sean Frazier age 57, of Wasilla assaulted a family member in the residence. Sean was arrested for assault 4 DV and transported to MSPT in Palmer where his bail was set at no bail.

    Location: Napaskiak
    Type: Criminal Mischief

    Dispatch Text:

    On July 4, 2025, at 4:22pm, Alaska State Troopers received a report of desecration to gravesites in Napaskiak. An on-scene investigation revealed 42-year-old Jason Larson of Napaskiak had disturbed twelve Orthodox grave sites, valued at an estimated $250.00 per grave. Most of the damage was to above ground structures and no corpses were disturbed. Larson was arrested without incident for desecration of the graveyard burial sites and transported to Yukon-Kuskokwim Correctional Center where he was remanded for Criminal Mischief 3.

    On July 4, 2025, Alaska Wildlife Troopers received a report at 6:07 p.m. that an adult male was injured when he rolled an ATV in the Eska Creek Falls area near Sutton. Helo 3 responded to the area and transported him to a nearby hospital.

    On July 4, 2025, Alaska Wildlife Troopers received a report around 3 p.m. that two adults were injured after their side-by side rolled near the top of Puritan Creek Trail. RCC responded to the area and transported both individuals to an Anchorage hospital.

    Type: Fail to Release Snagged Fish

    On 7/5/2025 at approximately 1400 hours, Alaska Wildlife Troopers were patrolling the Kasilof River and contacted Robert Storen age 24 from Chugiak. Investigation revealed Storen retained a snagged sockeye salmon on the Kasilof River while fishing from shore. A bailable citation was filed with the Kenai Court.

    On 7/6/2025 at approximately 1221 hours, Alaska Wildlife Troopers were patrolling the Kasilof River and made contact with Guide Felix Strum age 41 from Nikiski. Felix Strum was seen fishing using a registered guide boat. Investigation revealed Felix Strum was using a guide boat to fish King salmon on Sunday. State regulations advise you are not allowed to fish from a registered guide boat on Sundays in July. Felix Strum was issued a mandatory court citation, and it was filed with the Kenai Courthouse.

    On June 30, 2025, the Alaska State Troopers were notified of a sexual assault in the village of Tuluksak. The Alaska Bureau of Investigation’s Western Major Crimes Unit responded and investigated the allegation. Their investigation determined that 42-year-old Tuluksak resident John Phillip had sexually assaulted another person. On July 4, 2025, Phillip was remanded on charges of Sexual Assault in the 2nd Degree.

    On June 3, 2025, the Alaska State Troopers were notified of an attempted sexual assault that occurred in Nikiski. The Alaska Bureau of Investigation’s Southcentral Major Crimes Unit assumed case responsibility. Their investigation determined that 42-year-old Nikiski resident Kevin Stoerck had attempted to sexually assault a juvenile. Stoerck was remanded on July 6, 2025, on charges of Attempted Sexual Assault 1 and Attempted Sexual Abuse of a Minor 1.
