On 10/12/2024 at approximately AST conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a moving violation at the intersection of Lamont Way and Wesseling Cir and the driver was identified as HARLEY RAYMOND. The investigation revealed RAYMOND had a warrant for his arrest for violating his conditions of release with the original charge being MICS4 with a $500 bail. HARLEY also had a revoked license with five previous convictions and was currently on conditions of release for MICS4. HARLEY was remanded to Matsu Pre-trial for his warrant, DWLR and violating his conditions of release. HARLEY was held without bail.

On 10/11/24 at approximately 2145 hours, AST received a report for a theft of a firearm from a residence in the area of Fairview Loop. Investigation revealed that Zane Dickey, age (20) of Wasilla, had taken a firearm from his friend’s house while intoxicated. AST contacted Zane at his residence where the firearm was also located. AST arrested Zane and transported him to Matsu Pretrial where he was remanded for Theft 2, Theft 3 and MIW 4.

On September 20, 2024, at approximately 2043 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a Motor Vehicle Collision with injury in the Goldstream area in Fairbanks. Three people were involved, and the rider of the motorcycle was transported to FMH where the rider sustained a broken femur and a broken clavicle. There were no signs of impairment for any of the parties.

On September 23, 2024, at approximately 1805 hours, a welfare check for Michael J. Ohler. After multiple views in windows to the residence. AST mechanically breached the front door. Investigation revealed that Michael was located deceased in the bathroom. This appears to be a natural death. NOK has been notified.

On October 12, 2024 at approximately 0015 hours the Fairbanks Criminal Suppression Unit (CSU) identified a stolen white GMC Sierra pickup being driven southbound along S. Cushman St. and occupied by multiple persons. CSU Troopers caught up to the vehicle near Old Richardson Highway and Lakeview Dr., at which point they conducted a high-risk felony stop. 4 occupants were detained without incident.
CSU Troopers then conducted an investigation and determined that the driver, Caitlin Yaska, 28 of Fairbanks was on felony probation for Attempted Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree (ref. 4FA-20-03110CR). Yaska was subsequently arrested for Probation Violation.
CSU Troopers also determined that one of the passengers, Carl McCord, 26, of Fairbanks had stolen the vehicle in question and was under conditions of release in multiple other cases, including a recent Vehicle Theft case. McCord was placed under arrest for Vehicle Theft 1st Degree and three counts of Violation of Conditions of Release.
Yaska and McCord were transported to the Fairbanks Correctional Center without incident.

On October 12, 2024, at approximately 0122 hours, the Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on the Old Richardson Highway. The Driver identified himself as Jaheim Langston, age 22 of Fairbanks, and further investigation revealed that Jaheim had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Jaheim was arrested and remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center without incident.

On 10/12/2024 at approximately 1224 AST Nenana responded to a REDDI report between Fairbanks and Nenana. The dangerous driver was reported from Juvenile passenger inside the same vehicle. Investigation showed Gracelyn Johnson, 34 of Fairbanks, was intoxicated while driving from Fairbanks to Anchorage. Gracelyn was arrested and charged with DUI and Endangering the Welfare of a Child x3. Gracelyn was released OR to a responsible family member.

On 9/28/2024, Matt Reams, YOA 63, and Jerry Wilhite, YOA 69, both of Kasilof, were issued misdemeanor summons for taking a sublegal bull moose in Game Management Unit 15. They were also charged with using a wireless communication game camera to take a specific animal before 3:00 am of the following day after the use of the device through wireless communication, and for failure to validate the harvest ticket. The moose was seized, and their arraignment is set for 11/12/24 in the Kenai Court.
