Location: SewardType: Promoting Contraband 1, MICS4, Tampering with Physical EvidenceDispatch Text:
On 10/5/2025, at approximately 1338 hours, Nalee Chao, age 18 of Anchorage, visited Spring Creek Correctional Center (SCCC) to visit with inmate Charles Sadler, age 26 of Anchorage. This visit was pre-emptively under joint investigation between SCCC and AST, and Chao was observed passing illegal contraband to Sadler during the visit. Chao was subsequently arrested and transported to Wildwood Pre-Trial Facility, where she was remanded on the charges of Promoting Contraband 1 and Misconduct Involving Controlled Substances 4, while Sadler, who was already in custody, was charged with Promoting Contraband 1, Misconduct Involving Controlled Substances 4, and Tampering with Physical Evidence. The investigation is ongoing.

On 7/18/2025 at approximately 0912 hours in Anchor Point, a Cummins P9500df Dual Fuel portable generator was reported to have been stolen via the online reporting system. On 9/26/25, the victim was able to provide a tip to Anchor Point AST that led to the investigation being reopened. The investigation resulted in Jacob A. Dooley (42) of Anchor Point being served a summons for Theft in the 2nd degree and Violating his Conditions of Release from a prior theft case.

On 10/5/2025 at approximately 0638 hours, AST received a report of a disturbance at a residence on Beaver Place. Investigation revealed that Arnold Holmberg, 36 YOA of Wasilla, had physically assaulted a family member. Arnold was arrested and remanded to MSPT, where he was held without bail.

On 10/5/25 at approximately 1430 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a residence on Pioneer Peak Drive in Wasilla for a report of a disturbance. On-scene investigation revealed Christian Fetters, age 19, had physically assaulted a family member, threatened a family member with a knife, and damaged property at the residence. Fetters was arrested for Assault III, Assault IV, and Criminal Mischief IV. Fetters was transported to MSPT for remand, where he was held without bail.

On 10/05/2025 at approximately 1457 hours, a Trooper conducted a traffic stop for equipment and moving violations. The driver, Jeremy Mishler, had a revoked license and multiple prior driving while revoked convictions within the last ten years. Charges are being forwarded for driving while revoked.

On October 5th, 2025, at approximately 0234 hours, AST received a report of a stolen vehicle on Caribou St. The vehicle was unlocked with keys inside. At 0241 AST located the stolen vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop in the Palmer area. The vehicle failed to yield and fled recklessly and at high speeds for approximately 12 miles. At mile 54 of the Glenn Highway, the vehicle slowed down due to striking a guardrail. AST successfully executed a PIT maneuver to end the pursuit. The driver and sole occupant was identified as a 14-year-old juvenile. The juvenile was wearing a ski mask and had an airsoft pistol within the vehicle. The toy pistol had all orange/toy markings blacked out with a permanent marker. The juvenile was remanded into the custody of the Department of Juvenile Justice under the charges of Felony Vehicle Theft, Possession of Burglary Tools, Felony Failure to Stop at the Direction of a Police Officer, and Felony Criminal Mischief.

On 10/04/2025 at approximately 2100 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a disturbance in Wasilla. Following an investigation, Patrick Chin, age 40 of Wasilla, was arrested and remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial for domestic violence-related assault in the fourth degree, where he was held without bail.

On 10/05/2025 at approximately 0015 hours, while investigating a separate incident, Alaska State Troopers observed a black Chevrolet pickup truck drive past multiple marked Trooper vehicles in an erratic manner. Troopers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle after observing additional driving violations. Following an investigation, Isiah Davis, age 23 of Palmer, was arrested and remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial for driving under the influence of alcohol and misconduct involving a weapon in the fourth degree, where he was held on an OR bail.

On October 4, 2025, Donald Gilbert was found deceased at his residence near Minishot Loop in Fairbanks. The Alaska State Troopers conducted an investigation and determined there was no foul play involved. Next of kin have been notified, and the State Medical Examiner has released the body to the family.

On October 4, Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of two young children walking alone near Murphy Dome Road and Coyote Trail. Concerned passersby contacted authorities after noticing the children were without adult supervision in cold, wet conditions and appeared underdressed for the weather.
Troopers made contact with the children and observed signs of injury. They were evaluated by EMS and transported to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital. Following an investigation and interviews with involved parties, Naomi Gerke and Robert Nielsen were taken into custody on multiple charges related to assault and endangerment and remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center.
The children have been placed in the care of the Office of Children’s Services.

On 10/05/2025 at approximately 130 hours 2 juvenile females were placed into run away status after they ran away from a juvenile care facility in Fairbanks. Troopers are actively searching for them and have distributed information out to the proper outlets to aid in the search.
