  Corey Jamon Sutherland, age 35 from Anchorage, was arrested and booked for DUI during a collision investigation. Sutherland was driving at a high rate of speed (reported to be over 100 mph) when he failed to negotiate a curve near MP 62 of the Sterling Hwy. This resulted in a collision with a guardrail. No injuries were reported. Sutherland provided a breath sample of 0.140% BrAC.

  On 4/2/26 at approximately 720am AST responded to a head on motor vehicle collision at mile 97 of the Sterling Hwy between two vehicles. AST arrived to the scene and observed the occupants of a black Yukon outside their vehicle and the occupant of a silver PT cruiser entrapped in their vehicle. All three were transported to CPH by EMS. Investigation revealed multiple witnesses observed the Yukon driving erratically before causing the collision. The driver of the Yukon, Michael Wooten, was placed under arrest for Assault in the third degree, DUI, and Driving while license revoked after receiving medical treatment.

  On 04/03/2026 at approximately 1351 hours, the Alaska State Troopers responded to the area of Vine Road and Dandy Circle reference a physical domestic disturbance alongside the road. Upon arrival, Troopers noticed obvious signs of injury to one of the subjects involved. Investigation determined Steven Thornton, age 25 of Wasilla, had assaulted a household member and damaged their property. Steven was arrested for Assault 4 and Criminal Mischief 5 and remanded at MSPT with no bail.

  On March 28, 2026, at approximately 12:30 hours, AST responded to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Samiel Court and Yankovich Road. Upon arrival it was determined that both vehicles involved had disabling damage. There were no injuries reported at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.

  On March 29, 2026, at approximately 12:25 hours, AST responded to a request for a welfare check. It was determined that the individual in question was a Probation Absconder. Adult Probations was contacted and the individual was taken into custody and remanded to the Fairbanks Correctional Facility without incident. The investigation is currently ongoing.

  On 03/29/26 AST received a report of a disturbance that was occurring at 2810 Misty Fjords Ct. The caller stated "Charnise" Moore had engaged in a verbal altercation with he and his wife, and drew a firearm. ASPIN check showed Sharniece Moore had x2 warrants for failure to appear. She was remanded on DVA3 changes and the warrants.

  On February 14, 2026, Alaska State Troopers received a report alleging ongoing domestic abuse involving Caleb Peters. Following an investigation, Troopers determined that Peters caused injury during a March 1 incident and engaged in behavior that contributed to concerns for the victim’s safety. Peters was remanded for Assault in the Fourth Degree.

  On 3/31/2026 Fairbanks Troopers received an anonymous tip that Billie Largen was believed to be in the area around Gold Hill Road. Troopers gathered further information and contacted additional personal. Utilizing previous contacts Billie was located in the property and arrested for her multiple warrants then transported to Fairbanks Correctional Center.

  On 3/29/2026 George Frese was reported to be in the area of Miller Hill Road. George had multiple active warrants for his arrest. Troopers arrived at Miller Hill Road and witnessed George run from a red Nisan Titan over a nearby snow berm into a snow covered field. Multiple other units arrived and a searched was conducted to locate George. He was found attempting to hide in the snow when located. A brief slow speed foot pursuit through waist deep snow ended when George followed the commands of Law enforcement from the roadway. George was arrested for his active warrants, resisting arrest, and DUI then transported to Fairbanks Correctional Center.

  Type: DUI, MIW 4th, Furnishing Alcohol to minor, and Minor consuming alcohol

  On 04/02/2026 at 2007 hours the Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop near Mile 247 Parks Highway for a moving violation.  Investigation determined Zachary Mandell, age 21 from Fort Wainwright was under the influence of alcohol while driving and in possession of handgun.  Mandell also furnished alcohol to Miguel Diaz, age 20 from Fort Wainwright.  Mandell was arrested for DUI, MIW 4th, and Furnishing Alcohol to a person under 21 years old.  He was released on his own recognizance once sober.  Diaz received a citation for Minor consuming alcohol.

  On 2/25/26 at approximately 1529 hours Tommy Mitchel Lee Armstead(age 42 from Anchorage) was arrested on Warrant 3AN-25-04099CR at the Nesbett Court. Search incident to arrest revealed a bindle bag of Methamphetamine in Armstead's pocket. Armstead was additionally charged with Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance. Armstead was remanded into custody at the Anchorage Jail.
