On 05/01/2026 at about 0000 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of a physical disturbance near the area of Erewhon Cir/ Holt Lamplight Rd in Nikiski. Investigation revealed that John Connell, 68 of Nikiski assaulted his roommate causing them injuries and also harassed them. Connell was arrested and remanded at Wildwood pretrial for the charges of Assault in the 4th degree (DV) and Harassment in the 1st degree.

On 04/30/2026 at approximately 2250 hours, Soldotna troopers conducted a traffic stop on a tan 1990 Ford Ranger. The driver was identified as 32 Y/O Brandon Logan of Kenai. Investigation revealed that Logan's license was suspended. Troopers searched the vehicle and located 17 packets of Suboxone, which is a Schedule 5A controlled substance. Logan was arrested and remanded at Wildwood pretrial for driving while his license was suspended and misconduct involving a controlled substance in the fifth degree.

On 4/30/26 at approximately 2015 hours, Alaska State Troopers contacted Leonard Konig, 59 of Wasilla, during a subject stop near E. Nelson Road and S. Trunk Road. A records check confirmed he had an active Anchorage Police Department misdemeanor warrant for DV-related Assault in the 4th Degree. Konig was arrested without incident, transported, and remanded to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility, where he was held without bail pending arraignment.

On 05/01/2026, AST received a tip from a concerned citizen that there was a male, later identified as Harvel Young, aged 32, of Wasilla, using drugs in a vehicle parked in a Wasilla Three Bears parking Lot. AST contacted Harvel inside the vehicle, and an investigation revealed that he was in possession of controlled substances with the intent to distribute. Harvel was arrested and remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial.

On 5/1/26 at approximately 2119 hours, AST received a report of a disturbance in Palmer. Troopers arrived and investigation revealed that Patrick Beam age 43 of Palmer, assaulted a family member. Patrick was arrested and remanded to MSPT for Assault 4 DV.

On 05/01/2026 at approximately 2000 hours VPSO'S and Glennallen AST contacted Cheyenne Ewan, age 27 of Copper Center. Investigation revealed that Ewan had consumed alcohol in violation of conditions of release stemming from the original charges of Domestic Violence Criminal Mischief in the 5th degree and Violating Conditions of Release. Ewan was placed under arrest for Violating Conditions of Release and held at Glennallen AST until arraignment.

On 04/30/2026 at approximately 1248 hours, MATCOM AST dispatch received a request for a welfare check at a residence in Wasilla. AST contacted 32-year-old Wasilla resident MARK LORDS. The investigation determined that Lords had committed DV Assault in the Second Degree against a minor and DV Assault in the Presence of a Child. He was arrested and transported to Mat-Su Pretrial, where he was remanded on one count of DV Assault in the Second Degree and three counts of DV Assault in the Presence of a Child. Lords is being held without bail.

On 05/01/2026 at approximately 1150 hours, Court Services Officers assigned to Palmer Judicial Services arrested David Christopher Taylor, age 43, of Wasilla on an outstanding arrest warrant for Assault in the Fourth Degree and Criminal Mischief in the Fifth Degree. On 04/30/2026 at 2048 hours the Alaska State Troopers received a report about a possible violation of Conditions of Release in Nenana. Investigation determined Jonathan Pitka, age 38 from Nenana was consuming alcohol contrary to his Conditions of Release and Conditions of Probation. Pitka was arrested and remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center where he was held without bail pending arraignment.

UPDATE: The vehicle was recovered in Anchorage; criminal charges are still pending.
On 05/01/2026 the Alaska State Troopers received a report of a vehicle which had not been returned to the owner as was required. The vehicle is a red 2015 Ford Expedition with a black brush guard on the front end with the Alaska license of LRR329. A suspect has been identified, and an arrest warrant has been requested. The Alaska State Troopers request if anyone sees this vehicle to contact the Alaska State Troopers at 907-451-5100.
