Alaska State Troopers responded to a call of domestic disturbance in Thorne Bay on Prince of Wales Island. The investigation revealed that Gary Anderson assaulted a family member. Anderson was arrested without incident for DV Assault IV.

On June 7th, 2024, at approximately 2209 hours, the Alaska State Troopers responded to a motor vehicle collision on the Glenn highway. Investigation revealed, the driver, Alicia Showalter, age 23 of Palmer, was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and drove into the oncoming lane colliding with a trailer. Alicia was arrested for DUI and remanded at MSPT. AST would like to thank the Palmer Police Department for their assistance.

On 06/07/2024 at approximately 2039 hours, MATCOM received a report of a domestic disturbance located near Leckwold Drive and Settlers Bay Drive in Wasilla. AST contacted John Richard Chase, age 55 of Wasilla. Investigation revealed Chase recklessly placed another family member in fear of imminent serious physical injury by means of a dangerous instrument and recklessly caused physical injury to that same family member. Chase was arrested and transported to Mat-Su Pre-Trial where he was remanded on charges of Assault in the 3rd degree and Assault in the 4th degree, both per domestic violence, and held no bail.

On 06/08/2024 AST attempted to stop a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on Schrock Road. The vehicle eluded Troopers and was located at a nearby residence. Following the investigation Jillian Ward, age 19 of Wasilla, was arrested and remanded to MSPT for failure to stop at the direction of a peace officer. AST would like to thank the Wasilla Police Department for their assistance during the incident.

Location: King SalmonType: Plane CrashDispatch Text:
On June 7, 2024, at 5:07pm, the Alaska State Troopers received a report that two hours earlier a Cessna 206 had crashed three miles north of the King Salmon Airport, following takeoff. Egli Air Haul responded to the location with a helicopter and transported the pilot and passenger back to King Salmon. No injuries were reported. The NTSB and FAA have been notified.

On 6-7-24 a REDDI report was made to AST. Troopers located the vehicle and began an investigation into possible DUI. The driver was identified as Billy Joe Stacy, age 48 of Fairbanks. Investigation showed that Stacy was operating the vehicle while under the influence. A child was a passenger in the vehicle. Stacy was remanded to FCC on both charges.

On 06/07/2024 at approximately 1002 hours, the Alaska State Troopers responded to the area of Summit Dr fora report of a female going through mail boxes.Upon arrival, Troopers contacted Senora Fuzzard. Senora consented to a search of her bag and Troopers located articles of mail that did not belong to her. Senora was arrested and remanded to FCC on one count of theft 4.

On 6-8-24, Delta Junction AST received a report of a domestic violence incident. It was reported one individual had attempted to burn down a chicken house after an argument had ensued. While the individual was making efforts to start the process of burning the coop, the other individual went into the chicken house with a five month old child in an attempt to stop the other. During this time, one individual was punched by the other after they had been locked in the chicken house since the door only latched externally. Delta AST responded and investigation led to charges being forwarded to the DA's office for review.

On 6-8-24, Delta Junction AST received a report of a vehicle theft. It was reported a 2004 white Kia Optima bearing AK plate EVZ287 was stolen from a residence in Delta Junction. The residence it was stolen from had several other items taken from it as well, such as Toyo stoves. The vehicle has been placed into stolen status. The investigation is ongoing and their is potential suspects. If anyone locates the vehicle, contact the Alaska State Troopers.

On June 8, 2024, at approximately 2009 hours, Fairbanks AST responded to the area of Holmes Road for a report of a domestic disturbance. Investigation revealed probable cause to arrest Michael Weimer for assault in the fourth degree and criminal mischief in the fifth degree. Michael was transported and remanded to FCC without incident.

On June 8, 2024, at 18:39, the Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle speeding on Holmes Road. After further investigation, Herbert Ahkiviana, age 35, of North Pole, was arrested for driving while his driver's license was revoked and for being in violation of his conditions of release. Herbert was remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center without incident.

ON 06/08/2024, Alaska State Troopers were notified of a commercial motor vehicle rollover at mile 56 of the Dalton Highway. Coldfoot AWT investigated the incident and a crash report was completed.
