UPDATE: On July 13, 2024, at about 6:30pm, the juvenile showed up at a local’s residence. The juvenile is in good health and has been returned to their parents.
On July 11, 2024, at 8:11am, the Alaska State Troopers received a report that an at-risk teenager ran away from their residence in Edna Bay. Edna Bay is a sparsely populated community located on Kosciusko Island, approximately 40 nautical miles from Craig. On July 12, additional search efforts occurred including a team brought in from Craig. Search efforts are continuing today with the addition of K9 teams from Alaska SEA Dogs and other specially trained search volunteers.

On July 13th, 2024, at approximately 2053 hours, the Alaska State Troopers responded to a disturbance at a treatment facility on the Palmer Wasilla Highway. Investigation revealed, David Oksoktaruk, age 72 of Wasilla, intentionally damaged property at the facility and placed two staff members in imminent fear of physical injury. David was arrested for Criminal Mischief in the fourth degree and two counts of assault in the fourth degree. David was remanded at MSPT without bail pending arraignment.

On July 13, 2024 at approximately 1548 hours, AST responded to Mile 7.5 of Wasilla Fishhook Road for a single vehicle Motor Vehicle Collision. Investigation revealed William Wehrheim, 49 years old of Wasilla, was driving while under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested and remanded to Mat Su Pre-Trial on one count of Driving Under the Influence and held on $500 bail.

On 7/13/2024 at approximately 1627 hours the Alaska State Troopers received report of a Domestic Violence incident at a residence in Wasilla. Upon arrival, AST contacted Katrina Hanson, Age 29 of Wasilla. Investigations revealed Katrina committed the crimes of DV Assault in the 4th Degree and Criminal Mischief in the 5th Degree. Subsequently, Katrina was arrested and transported to Matsu Pre-Trial where she was remanded and held on no bail for the above listed DV charges.

On 07/13/2024 at approximately 1403 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a 2 vehicle head on collision on the Richardson Hwy, north of Glennallen. Upon further investigation determined a vehicle crossed into on-coming lane of travel and struck another vehicle. Rebecca Portwood, 74, of Loganville Georgia was found to be deceased. The decedent was transported to the State Medical Examiner's Office for autopsy. Next of Kin was notified.

On 7-12-24 at approximately 2056 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a report from Theodore Kirby, age 46, of Fairbanks, that one of his dogs had been shot while at his residence. The investigation is still ongoing. Those with information, please contact the Alaska State Troopers at 451-5100.

On July 13, 2024, at approximately 1746 hours, Fairbanks AST responded to 1136 Hayes Avenue APT. 5 for a report of a domestic disturbance involving damage to a door in the residence. Investigation revealed probable cause to arrest Cristian Holder-Gauthier for criminal mischief in the fifth degree. Cristian was arrested and remanded to FCC without incident.

On July 13, 2024, at approximately 1548 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a report of a deceased person in the area of Lakeview Terrace. After further investigation, James Bolhman, age 55, of Fairbanks, was found to be deceased in his apartment. Death appears to have been from natural causes and no foul play is suspected at this time. The next of kin has been notified, and the state medical examiner released the body.

On July 13, 2024, at approximately 1307 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a report of vandalism near Badger Road. The caller reported that all four of his vehicle tires had been slashed. After further investigation, charges are being forwarded to the district attorney's office for Phanta King-Nerbonne, age 42, of Fairbanks, for the crime of criminal mischief in the third degree.

On July 8, 2024 Raymond Thorson, age 78 from Dillingham was cited by the Alaska Wildlife Troopers during the Bristol Bay Salmon Enforcement Program for commercial fishing with an over length gill net, with improper buoy markings in the Nushagak District. Arraignment is scheduled in Dillingham District Court on August 5, 2024.

On 07/07/2024 at approximately 1530 hours, Alaska Wildlife Troopers contacted Roger Raymond, age 65 of Texas, while fishing in Sheep Creek near Talkeetna. Raymond was found to be fishing with a hook over 1/2 an inch which was against emergency order restrictions for the area. Raymond was issued a bailable citation for fishing with unlawful sportfish gear in the Susitna Drainage.

On 07/07/2024 at approximately 2305 hours AWT contacted Alice Rearden (47) of Anchorage at the Kasilof South Beach personal use fishery. Alice was cleaning her fish after a day of fishing. Investigation revealed that after leaving the primary fishing area she had not recorded her harvest or clipped the tails as required by Alaska Statute. Rearden was cited for failure to record salmon on Upper Cook Inlet personal use permit.
