On 2/22/26 at 1558 hours, Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a pickup off Johnson Lake Rd. in Kasilof for traffic violations. Investigation revealed the driver, Randall Adrian Carter Jr., 55 of Kasilof, was driving with a Suspended Drivers License with a previous conviction. Carter was issued a misdemeanor court citation for Driving with a Suspended License and released.

On 02/22/2026 at approximately 1911 hours a Trooper conducted a traffic stop near mile 186 of the Glenn Highway for an equipment violation. An occupant was on probation for Assault 3. Investigation revealed Marissa David was in violation of her probation conditions and was arrested for probation violation. After additional investigation by Troopers, approximately 19 grams of suspected methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and a handgun was seized from Scott Kranenburg of Tok. On 02/21/2026 at approximately 2320 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report from a 911 center in Canada of a possible crash on a remote back road in Trapper Creek. The Talkeetna Fire Department was requested by AST for specialized equipment and personnel. Troopers contacted the group, who advised they had attempted to connect their cell phone to a satellite, which inadvertently triggered an emergency report. There were no injuries reported and the group had self-rescued after their vehicles became stuck in the snow. The Alaska State Troopers would like to thank the Talkeetna Fire Department for their assistance during this incident.

On 02/21/2026 at approximately 2103 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a single vehicle crash in Wasilla. Following the investigation Jonathon Henry, age 20, was arrested for DUI, minor operating a vehicle after consuming alcohol, and driving while license revoked. Herny was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial and held on a $500 bail.

On 02/22/2026 at approximately 0243 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a disturbance in Palmer. Following the investigation Walter Kowunna, age 26 of Palmer, was arrested for domestic violence-related assault in the second degree and violating conditions of release. Kowunna was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial and held without bail.

On 2/22/26 at approximately 1030 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a residence on Gold Bullion Boulevard in Palmer for a report of a disturbance. An investigation revealed that Stephine Hunt, age 47, of Palmer, had damaged the property of a household member. Further investigation revealed that Hunt was on Conditions of Release. Hunt was arrested for Criminal Mischief IV(DV) and Violation of Conditions of Release. Hunt was remanded to MSPT.

On February 21, 2026, at approximately 2327 hours, Troopers on patrol observed a vehicle stuck in a roadside ditch on Nistler Road between Mil-Tan Road and Foxy Lane. Upon contacting the driver, the Trooper suspected the driver was impaired.
The investigation confirmed the driver was operating under the influence of alcohol. The individual was placed under arrest for Driving Under the Influence (DUI) after providing a breath alcohol concentration (BrAC) of 0.229%.
