On March 2, 2026, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a sexual assault that occurred two nights prior. It was reported that an 18-year-old male and a 16-year-old female had met on social media, got together in-person, and the female was sexually assaulted. After a thorough investigation by the Alaska Bureau of Investigation, 18-year-old Silas Taje Aklaq Beach, of Soldotna, was taken into custody. He was subsequently remanded to the Wildwood Correctional Center for one count each of Sexual Assault I, Sexual Assault II, and VCOR.

On 3/23/26 at approximately 0211 hours, AST received a report of an assault at a residence on N Alma Dr in Wasilla. The victim had been transported to the hospital prior to AST receiving the report. Investigation revealed Dalan Dubie age 20, of Wasilla assaulted his girlfriend by strangulation at the residence. AST responded to the residence and located Dubie in his vehicle in the driveway. On 03/23/2026 at 0630 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a vehicle theft in progress on Fairview Loop. Investigation revealed, William Ogan 42 YOA unlawfully took an individual’s vehicle and got it suck nearby. Alaska State Troopers with the assistance of Wasilla Police Department and Mat-Su Narcotic Team arrested William on charges of Vehicle Theft 1st, Theft 1st, and Resisting Arrest. William is being held at Mat-Su Pretrial without bail.

On 03/20/2026, Troopers received a report that Rebecca Jones, age 57 of Fairbanks, had violated her conditions of release by coming within 500 feet of a residence which she was forbidden to go to. On 03/22/2026, Troopers were called to a residence in Fairbanks with reports of a possible domestic violence disturbance. Upon arriving, it was determined that Zane Gill, age 40 of Fairbanks, had punched multiple holes in the walls of the residence, resulting in him being arrested and charged with criminal mischief. On March 22, 2026, at approximately 10:48 p.m., the Alaska State Troopers responded to a residence on Old Elliott Highway for a report of a disturbance. Troopers contacted 38-year-old Fairbanks resident Benjamin John Clement Mulberger at the back door of the home after he had been repeatedly told by the resident not to return to the property. The investigation determined Mulberger had unlawfully returned and attempted to contact the resident. Mulberger was arrested for Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree and transported to Fairbanks Correctional Center.

On 03/22/2026 at approximately 1731 hours, Alaska Wildlife Troopers in Palmer contacted Pavel Snegur, age 67, of Wasilla, who was ice fishing at Kepler lake in Palmer. Pavel was in possession of 13 Rainbow Trout, the daily bag limit for Kepler lake is 5 Rainbow Trout. Pavel was issued a citation for violating possession limit.

On March 20, 2026, Alaska State Troopers in Fairbanks received a report of sexual abuse of a minor. Troopers began a thorough investigation and determined that Jonathan McLane, age 34, of Fairbanks, had sexually abused multiple minors over the course of 10 years. He was arrested on charges of SAM I and SAM II. Additional charges will be forthcoming. Alaska State Troopers believe there may be additional victims and ask anyone with additional information on McLane to contact troopers at (907) 451-5100.

On March 22, 2026, at 1:38pm, University Fire Department received a report of a residential trailer fire in Goldrush Estates in Fairbanks. On arrival crews found heavy fire involvement throughout the trailer. Information was received from neighbors that the structure was likely occupied at the time of the fire. During a primary search of the structure, fire crews found and extracted a male adult with significant burn injuries. He was transported to a local area hospital where he succumbed to his burn injuries. Department of Public Safety Deputy Fire Marshals from Fairbanks responded to conduct and origin and cause investigation. The body is being transported to the State Medical Examiner's Office for confirmation of identification and autopsy. No foul play is suspected at this time.
