On 04/04/2026 at approximately 2340 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of a single vehicle collision. A side-by-side ATV was discovered on a trail rolled over onto its side just before Gas Well Road in Soldotna. Troopers contacted the driver, Michael Lott (32 y/o) of Soldotna, and initiated a DUI investigation. Lott was determined to be driving under the influence and was placed under arrest. Lott was transported and remanded at Wildwood Correctional Facility.

On 04/03/2026 at approximately 1909 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a residence near Mars Avenue in Palmer for a report of an unknown help call. During the investigation, Troopers identified an individual associated with the call as Jessie Hill, age 43 of Palmer, who had multiple outstanding warrants for his arrest on the original charges of Assault in the Fourth Degree, Escape in the Third Degree, and Violating Conditions of Release. Hill was contacted and arrested on the outstanding warrants. He was transported and remanded to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility, where he was held pending arraignment.

On April 5, 2026 at approximately 0552 hours, the Alaska State Troopers responded to a Wasilla residence for a report of a domestic disturbance. Investigation revealed Daryl Armstrong, 36 years old of Wasilla, had committed Fourth Degree Assault (Domestic Violence), Fifth Degree Criminal Mischief (Domestic Violence) and Driving Under the Influence of alcohol. Armstrong was arrested and remanded to Mat Su Pre-Trial on the aforementioned charges where he was held without bail.

On March 4th, 2026, at approximately 2348 hours, AST responded to a REDDI report and conducted a traffic stop on the Parks highway. AST contacted 50-year-old Joseph Simkins of Wasilla while he was in his vehicle. Further investigation revealed that Simkins was intoxicated while behind the wheel. Simkins was placed under arrest and remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial on charges of DUI and MIW4.

On 04/04/2026 at 1901 hours the Alaska State Troopers responded to a disturbance in Nenana. Investigation determined Eric Chaney, age 25 from Nenana refused to leave a family member's house, placed a family member in fear of immediate physical injury, and did so in the presence of 2 children. Chaney was arrested and remanded to FCC where he was held without bail pending arraignment for Criminal Trespass 1st (DV), Assault 4th (DV), and two counts of Assault in the Presence of a Child (DV). The use of controlled substances was considered to be a contributing factor.

A trooper responded to an assault reported by an off-duty sergeant, who witnessed a man repeatedly punch a woman in a parking lot. The victim denied the assault despite visible injuries, and the suspect also denied it and challenged the sergeant to fight. The suspect, Leonard Chickalusion, was arrested for Assault in the Fourth Degree and Disorderly Conduct and was remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center without further incident.

Early on April 5, 2026, a trooper conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle observed driving without tail lights, making unsafe lane changes, and failing to signal. During the stop, the trooper detected a strong odor of recently burned marijuana, observed marijuana ash inside the vehicle, and noted the driver’s slurred speech. The driver, Ayodele Olusoga performed poorly on standardized field sobriety tests, and his low breath-alcohol result was inconsistent with his level of impairment. A blood warrant was obtained due to suspected marijuana or controlled-substance impairment, and a blood sample was collected for analysis. The driver was arrested and remanded for Driving Under the Influence.

On 04/04 at approx. 2056 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of an assault that had occurred earlier in the week. Troopers were dispatched to the scene near College Road and conducted an investigation. Concluding the investigation, troopers charged the suspect, Rumer Herrington, for an Assault in the Third Degree.

On 4/1/26 at approximately 1000 hours, AST received a report of an individual with a warrant at the customer service desk in the Nesbett Courthouse. The individual was identified as Rose Parks-lee. She was then taken into custody on the warrant without incident. She was subsequently processed at Anchorage Judicial Services and remanded to Anchorage Jail.
