On 08/14/2025 AST received a report of a hit and run at 3 bears Pittman. AST located the vehicle on 08/16/2025 in a parking lot in Wasilla, and contacted the driver, identified as Victor Gassaway, age 56, of Wasilla. Victor was issued a Misdemeanor summons and released.

On August 15, 2025 at approximately 9:25pm, the Alaska State Troopers received a report that a male was passed out in his vehicle while waiting for traffic to continue through the construction zone near Bogard Road and Copper Creek Road. AST responded to conduct a welfare check on the man, identified as Jeffrey Olson 52 years old of Wasilla, and a subsequent investigation found him to be driving under the influence of alcohol. A routine check of APSIN indicated Olson had one prior DUI conviction in 2019. Olson was placed under arrest for Driving Under the Influence of alcohol and remanded to Mat Su Pre-Trial and held on $500 bail.

On 8/15/2025 AST conducted a traffic stop on a motorcycle in the area of Clapp in Wasilla. The investigation showed that the motorcycle was stolen out of Anchorage and that the operator Jordon Olmsted age 43 of Houston was in possession of distribution amounts of narcotics and a large amount of currency consistent with narcotic distribution as well as operating a vehicle under the influence of narcotics. Jordon was remanded to Matsu pretrial where he was charged with theft 2, misconduct involving a controlled substance in the third degree and driving under the influence and given no bail.

On 08/15/2025 at approximately 23:31 Troopers were dispatched to Badger Gas on reports of a female throwing rocks at vehicles and screaming. Brittany Blue, age 36 of North Pole was located in a nearby playground, and arrested for disorderly contact after she continued to scream in a public place. She was remanded to FCC with no further incident.

On 7/28/2025 at approximately 0912 hours, Alaska Wildlife Troopers conducted a Kenai River patrol. Glenn Hamby, age 71, from California, was fishing from the shore and retained four snagged sockeye salmon. A bailable citation was filed with the Kenai Court for failing to release snagged fish. The four sockeye salmon were seized and given to the Soldotna Food Bank.

Edward Pearson, age 61, from Kasilof, was contacted guiding a group of clients on the Kasilof River from shore. An investigation revealed that Edward Pearson did not have a 2025 Guide License. A mandatory court appearance citation was filed with the Kenai Courthouse.

Taase Moana, age 40, from Anchorage, was contacted dip netting from the shore. An investigation revealed that they were dip netting in a closed area. A bailable citation was filed with the Kenai Courthouse.

The investigation revealed that he did not look at the Emergency Order, which bans the retention of native kings. A bailable citation was filed with the Kenai Courthouse.
