UPDATE: On June 23, 2024, at approximately 1:00pm, searchers located Theresa Ortega alive, and she is being evaluated by emergency medical personnel. Search efforts have concluded.
On June 22, 2024, at 3:30pm, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a missing person from a residence on Pearl Rd. in Wasilla. A family member reported that 89-year-old Theresa Ortega was missing from the residence. Theresa is described as a white female 5’1 inch tall, 159 lbs. wearing blue jeans and tennis shoes. AST did not locate Theresa during initial search and a Silver Alert was issued. She was last seen on 6/22/2024 at approximately 3:25pm. Contact Matcom Dispatch with any information at 907-352-5401. On 6/21/2024 at approximately 1416 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received several REDDI reports of a silver Dodge minivan driving on the Parks Highway. After a DUI investigation, the driver, 68-year-old George Goldy from Anchorage, was arrested. It was determined that Goldy was too intoxicated to be driving. Goldy was transported and remanded at Mat-Su Pretrial.

On June 22nd, 2024, at approximately 0009 hours, the Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on the Parks Highway on an SUV for multiple moving violations. Investigation revealed that Phanta King-Nerbonne, age 42, of Fairbanks, was driving under the influence of alcohol. Phanta was arrested for DUI and remanded at MSPT.

While on patrol AST was contacted about concerns of a REDDI vehicle. Troopers observed the vehicle swerving and speeding, a traffic stop was conducted. The sole occupant, Jonathon Bosch, 36, of Montana was contacted in the vehicle. Odor of alcohol was noticed in conjunction with bloodshot watery eyes. Field sobriety tests were administered, Bosch's performance implied impairment. Bosch was arrested for DUI.

On 06/22/2024 at approximately 2350 hours, AST conducted a traffic stop on Adam Misipati, age 25 of Northway, for speeding near Tok. A DUI investigation was conducted and Adam was arrested for DUI for failing standard field sobriety tests and for having a breath alcohol content greater than .08.

On June 21, 2024, at approximately 1414 hours, AST responded to the intersection of Sandvik St. and University Ave. for a report of a motor vehicle collision involving an injury. The vehicle that caused it fled the scene following the collision. Investigation on the scene revealed that multiple people had injuries. AST then located the vehicle and individual responsible for the collision, Ronald Allen, age 36, of Fairbanks. Ronald Allen was arrested and transported to FCC following Datamaster processing for Felony Driving Under the Influence, two charges of Assault in the Third Degree, and Duty of Operator to Give Information and Render Assistance.

On 06/22/2024 Troopers were dispatched to a On-star vehicle crash alert in the area of Persinger Rd. An investigation was conducted and revealed there was a crash with a driver and a passenger who was a domestic partner. Ultimately, Joseph Benson (18) was arrested for Assault 3 and Minor Operating Vehicle after Consuming Alcohol.

On, 06/22/2024 at approximately 1011 hours, Fairbanks AST received a REDDI report near Mile 324 of the Richardson Hwy heading North into Fairbanks. Troopers Located the vehicle and conducted a routine traffic stop. Investigation revealed that Robert Young of Delta was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Robert was arrested and remanded to the Fairbanks Correctional Center.

On 6-22-24, Delta Junction AST conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speed. The driver was Eric Morris who had an active $5,000 warrant for his arrest. He was placed under arrest and transported to FCC. He was also issued a citation for his speed.

On June 22, 2024, at approximately 1614 hours, Fairbanks AST responded to the area of Army Road for a report of a nude male with a sledgehammer. Investigation revealed that Brian Senti, age 31, used a sledgehammer to break into a residence and steal a small dog. Brian was arrested for burglary, theft, and assault. Brian was remanded to FCC without incident.

One sockeye salmon was unlawfully retained. Schroeder was issued a citation for Sport Fishing in Closed Waters Within 300 ft. of a Weir with a fine of $140.
