On 5/26/2025, Alaska State Troopers in Anchor Point responded to a residence in Fritz Creek for a report of a female who was refusing to leave. Subsequent investigation determined Sarah Kirk, age 36, was remaining unlawfully at the residence, even after being told to leave by the homeowner and AST. Sarah was arrested and remanded to Homer Jail.

On 6/7/2025 at approximately 1156 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to an assault in Talkeetna. Following the investigation, Mabel Larsen, age 44 of Talkeetna, was arrested and remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial for two counts of domestic violence-related assault in the fourth degree.

On 6/6/2025 at approximately 2300 hours AST observed an ATV traveling on Big Lake Rd on the roadway. When AST attempted to conduct a traffic stop it fled into oncoming traffic and then went onto the Big Lake Rd pedestrian pathway. AST gave pursuit to the ATV for a short time before it eventually came to a stop. The driver Lief Runstrom age 40 of Big Lake was contacted and showed signs of impairment. Lief was placed under arrest and remanded to Matsu pretrial for failure to stop at the direction of a peace officer in the first degree and driving under the influence and given no bail.

On 6/7/25 at approximately 1158 hours Palmer AST responded to a disturbance on Sheridan Cir in Wasilla. Investigation revealed Kristina Atherton, age 32 of Wasilla, had spit on a household member. Atherton was issued a summons for Harassment 1st Degree and parties were separated.

On 6/6/2025, the Alaska State Troopers responded to an incident of domestic violence in Wasilla. Billy John (38YOA) of Wasilla had an argument with a girlfriend and struck her in the face. Billy was arrested for DV assault in the 4th degree. However, due to having multiple prior convictions in the last ten years, the misdemeanor charge became a felony. Billy was remanded at Mat-Su Pretrial and held per the bail schedule.

On 06/06/2025 at approximately 2135 hours Glennallen AST received a REDDI report (Report every dangerous driver immediately) of a vehicle being driven by an intoxicated person near mile 120 of the Richardson Highway. AST located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. Investigation revealed that the driver Rennard Smith, age 35 of Tok, was driving while under the influence of alcohol. Smith is also on felony probation for the original charges of Misconduct involving weapons in the 2nd degree. Smith was arrested for DUI and a Probation violation and transported to Glennallen AST post where he was held until arraignment.

O6/06/2025 at approximately 2135 hours Glennallen AST contacted Katelyn Delarosa, age 24 of Tok. Investigation revealed that Delarosa had consumed alcohol in violation of conditions of release stemming from the original charges of DV Assault in the 1st degree, DV Assault in the 2nd degree, DUI, and Endangering the Welfare of a Minor. Delarosa provided a false name and date of birth to law enforcement. Delarosa was arrested for Violating Conditions of Release for a Felony and for Providing False Information.

On 06/07/2025 at 0144 hours a Trooper conducted a traffic stop for a turn signal and equipment violation. The driver and only occupant was Brandon Huber. After further investigation, two dime bags containing suspected methamphetamine was seized from Huber's person. Charges are pending crime lab results.

On 06/06/2025 at approximately 1553 hours, Alaska State Troopers in Nenana respond to a report of Custodial Interference near 2nd St. Nenana. Curtis Petersen, age 48 of Fairbanks, was contacted and arrested on his $10,000 Warrant. Curtis was transported to Fairbanks Correctional Center where he was held for bail and court appointed conditions.

On 06/06/2025 AST Fairbanks and Nenana received a report that Lisa Wright, age 36 of Fairbanks, and Curtis Petersen, age 48 of Fairbanks, were reported overdue by over 24 hours with their children which were due back to their legal guardian. Lisa, Curtis, and the juveniles were located in Nenana. Lisa and Curtis were arrested for Custodial Interference 2nd. Both were transported to Fairbanks Correctional Center where they were held without bail. Both children were returned to their rightful guardian.

On 06/06/2025 at 1818 hours the Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop near Mile 295 Parks Highway for a moving violation. Investigation determined the driver, Mollia Nick, age 45 from Anchorage was displaying the incorrect registration sticker and knowingly was driving without insurance. Mollia was issued misdemeanor summons in the Nenana Court for Misuse of Plates, and No Motor Vehicle Liability Insurance.

On 06/07/2025 at 0300 hours the Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of an injured male at the employee housing of one of the local seasonal establishments. Investigation determined James Harris, age 34 from Michigan broke property belonging to another person and placed the other person in fear of imminent physical injury. James was arrested and remanded to FCC where he was held without bail pending arraignment for Criminal Mischief 5th (DV) and Assault 4th (DV). Alcohol was considered to be a contributing factor to the altercation.

On 05/31/2025, Alaska Wildlife Troopers in Palmer contacted Sage Best, age 56 of Palmer, after receiving a report that he was in possession of a baby moose. Investigation revealed Sage discovered what he believed was an abandoned moose calf and took it home due to his concern about the calf’s welfare. Best was cited for Possessing Live Game without a Permit.
