On July 15, 2025, Alaska State Troopers arrested 57-year-old Randy Lewis of Kasilof on multiple charges of first- and second-degree sexual abuse of a minor following a lengthy investigation. While investigating an unrelated incident in December 2024, investigators from Soldotna ABI MCU learned of multiple instances of sexual abuse committed against a juvenile female. Lewis was charged in relation to this as well as additional victims who were identified during the investigation. Investigators believe there are additional victims, and the investigation is ongoing. Lewis was remanded to the Wildwood Pretrial Facility.

On 7/05/2025 at approximately 0144 hours in Anchor Point, a 4-wheeler that was posted for sale was stolen from in front of a business. The investigation resulted in Jacob A. Dooley (42) of Anchor Point being served a summons for Vehicle Theft in the 1st degree and Theft in the 4th degree on 7/15/25 with a mandatory court date. The 4-wheeler was recovered and returned to the owner.

On 07/16/2025 at approximately 0115 hours, Trooper took a report of a vehicle crash in the area of mile 83 Richardson Hwy. A short time later Troopers received a report of a disturbance a few miles way. Upon further investigation, Stetson Thomas Conway, 40, of Glennallen, was arrested and charged with Terroristic Threatening, Assault on a Peace Officer, Reckless driving, resisting arrest, DUI 1st Offense and Refusal to submit to a chemical test. Conway was remanded into custody.

On 07/16/2025 at approximately 1139 hours, Troopers took a report of a juvenile that was left by his parents. Upon further investigation, it was determined the juvenile's parents didn't realize he had entered the business to use the bathroom. A short time later the juvenile was reunited with his parents without incident. Nothing criminal reported.

On 07/16/25 at approximately 1050 hours, Court Services Officers assigned to Palmer Judicial Services arrested Brandon William Drew, age 25, of Palmer on an outstanding arrest warrant for Theft in the Second Degree. Drew was served with the warrant while in-custody at Matsu Pretrial Facility in Palmer on unrelated charges. Bail was set at $1,000 cash performance.

On 7/15/25 Alaska State Troopers received a report of a disturbance on W Hollywood Road in Wasilla. Investigation revealed Jason Hunt (36) drove home intoxicated, and when confronted about it by family, assaulted a household member and damaged property. Jason was remanded on Assault 4 DV, Criminal Mischief 5 DV, Assault on Presence of a Child, and DUI.

On 7/16/2025 at approximately 0636 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a of a domestic incident with assault and strangulation. Troopers responded to the scene and discovered that David Taylor (42YOA) of Wasilla had struck his wife and strangled her. David barricaded himself into his bedroom, but gave up when he was informed that SWAT was on their way. David was arrested for DV Assault 4, DV Assault in the presence of a child, DV Criminal Mischief 5, and remanded at Mat-Su Pretrial where he was held per the bail schedule.

On July 16, 2025, at 4:02 am, the Alaska State Troopers were notified of a vehicle versus pedestrian collision on Beam Road near Nome, Alaska. Troopers and Nome Volunteer Fire Department personnel responded. A preliminary investigation determined that a GMC pickup truck was being operated by an adult female, and it struck 40-year-old Nome resident Preston Dixon. Dixon was declared deceased at the scene. His next of kin have been notified, and his body will be sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy. The circumstances surrounding the collision are under investigation by Troopers; however, at this time, no charges have been filed, nor have any citations been issued.

On 7/16/2025, Troopers observed a black Dodge Charger speeding at 71 MPH in a 55 MPH zone on the Johansen Expressway in Fairbanks. The driver, identified as Kenneth Richards, was found to be driving on a revoked license and exhibited multiple signs of alcohol impairment, ultimately recording a BrAC of .268 on the DataMaster. A search of his vehicle revealed multiple empty alcohol containers. Richards, who has two prior DUI convictions within the last 10 years, was arrested for Felony DUI (AS 28.35.030(n)) and Driving While License Revoked (AS 28.15.291(a)(1)).

On 07/16/2025 at approximately 0755 hours, Alaska Wildlife Troopers contacted Dean Osmar, age 78 of Kasilof, while operating a commercial dip net site, near Kenai North Beach. Investigation revealed Osmar, had employed Whitney Yager, age 36 of Kasilof, who had not obtained an ADFG 2025 crew member's license. Osmar was issued a citation for employing an unlicensed crew member with a fine of $270. Yager was issued a citation for commercial fishing without a crew member license with a fine of $270.

On June 9, 2025, Fairbanks ABI received a report that 38-year-old Isayah Skinner sexually abused a juvenile female victim in 2023. An arrest warrant was granted on June 23, 2025, for Sexual Assault of a Minor in the First and Second Degree. On July 15, 2025, investigators learned that Skinner was in Salcha. Fairbanks Patrol responded to the area, ultimately locating and arresting Skinner. Skinner was taken to FCC on the outstanding warrant, where he was held without bail.
