Location: PalmerType: Sexual Assault and BurglaryDispatch Text:
On 7/23/25 at approx. 2152hrs AST received a 911 call reporting that there was an assault near Finger Lake in Palmer. Further investigation revealed that Thomas Ryan Hite Cross (age 37 of Palmer) burglarized the home of an elderly female neighbor and during the commision of the burglary he assaulted the neighbor and attempted to sexually assault her as well. The elderly victim was transported to Mat Su Regional Medical Center for medical treatment for non-life threatening injuries that she received during the assault(s). Thomas Ryan Hite Cross was transported to the Palmer Pretrial Facility where he was remanded on several charges including Sexual Assault, Assault IV and Burglary; Thomas Ryan Hite Cross is being held without bail.

On 07/24/2025 at approximately 0208 hours, AST received a report of a vehicle collision on Serendipity Loop. The following investigation revealed that Alexander O’Docharty, 19 YOA, was driving while under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested and transported to MSPT, where he was remanded and held on a $1,000.00 bail.

On 07/24/2025 at approximately 1630 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a possible stolen vehicle found abandoned in Big Lake. The vehicle was confirmed stolen in June 2025 and was returned to the owner.

On 07/24/2025 at approximately 1108 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a disturbance in Palmer. Following the investigation Brandi Whisnant (age 21 of Palmer) was arrested and remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial for domestic violence related assault in the fourth degree and criminal mischief in the fifth degree, where she was held without bail.

On 7/24/2025 at approximately 1706 hours, AST responded to a single vehicle collision on Big Lake Rd. Upon investigation a 45-year-old male was going at a high rate of speed eastbound on Big Lake Rd. He veered off the road on to the shoulder causing him to lose control of the motorcycle and ultimately crashed. He was rushed to the hospital by EMS and being treated for possible serious injuries. No other parties involved.

On 7/24/2025 at approximately 1650 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a call from security at Mat-Su Regional Hospital in Palmer reporting a man there that was threatening to kill staff members. Eriel Cuevas (40YOA) placed staff, who had been threatened and assaulted by him before resulting in him being trespassed from the hospital, were put in fear of harm that he would do it again and possibly worse than before. Eriel was placed under arrest for two charges of assault in the 4th degree and was remanded at Mat-Su Pretrial where he was held per the bail schedule.

On 7/24/2025 at approximately 1220 hours, Palmer Judicial Services, Palmer Patrol, and Palmer Pre-Trial Services contacted Todd Dreka, age 58, of Wasilla at a residence in Wasilla for a Governor’s Arrest Warrant. Dreka was taken into custody without incident and transported to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility where he will await extradition to Florida for the original charge of domestic violence aggravated battery on a pregnant person.

On 7/24/2025 at approximately 1106 hours, Palmer AST received a call from Brenda Tocktoo (26YOA) reporting that her boyfriend had pushed her and was preventing her from getting her things so she could leave the house. Parties were separated when Troopers arrived on scene. After interviewing both parties, it was determined that Brenda had destoryed property that belonged to her boyfriend. She was placed under arrest for Criminal Mischief in the 5th degree, DV, and remanded at Mat-Su pretrial where she was held per the bail schedule.

On 7/24/25 at about 0900 hours, Troopers assigned to the Highway Interdiction Team conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near Knik Goose Bay Road and Clapp Road after observing the license plates did not match the vehicle. Investigation revealed a passenger, identified as 20 year old Dylan McDowell of Wasilla, had a felony warrant for his arrest for the original charges of Fail to Stop 1st, Cruelty to Animals, Assault 3rd, VCOR x4, and DUI. McDowell was arrested and remanded to MSPT and held on $3000 cash only bail. The investigation regarding the vehicle continues.
