On 4/21/2025, Alaska State Troopers in Anchor Point responded to the area of Diamond Ridge for a report of someone breaking into a residence. Subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Lorelei Reece, (31 years old) for Criminal Trespass in the 1st degree. Lorelei was remanded to Homer Jail and held without bail pending arraignment.

On 04/21/2025 at approximately 0937 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to Knik Goose Bay Road and Country Drive in Wasilla for a report of a three-vehicle collision. Injuries were reported. The roadway was shut down for a short period for emergency responders.

On April 19, 2025, at 1:48 pm, Fairbanks AST received a 911 call from Mark Fraley, age 70, that he was experiencing a medical emergency while snowmachining off Himilaya Road. AWT responded, and transported a Steese fire department paramedic to the area by snowmachine and located Fraley deceased. The SME was notified, and the remains were released to a funeral home. Next of kin has been notified.

On April 20, 2025, at 8:10 pm, Alaska Wildlife Troopers received a report of missing person on Mitkof Island, near Petersburg. An at-risk adult male had walked away from his caregivers while on a remote logging road. The male suffers from numerous health issues. A SAR and EMS response was activated. AWT troopers located the man walking on a logging road approximately 3 miles from the point where he went missing. He was reunited with his caregivers and declined any medical treatment.
