On 6/13/24 at 1243 hours, Department of Corrections Probation Officers contacted Troopers to report finding a probationer in possession of controlled substances. An investigation showed Roy Taylor, 45 of Homer, possessed a user amount of heroin. Taylor was also found to be on conditions of release from other criminal offenses. Taylor was arrested and remanded into the Homer Jail where he was held without bail.

On 6/13/24 at 0931 hours, Department of Corrections Probation Officers contacted Troopers to report finding a probationer in violation of his conditions of release. An investigation showed Justin Post, 47 of Anchor Point, had violated his conditions of release in an ongoing criminal case. Post was arrested and remanded into the Homer Jail without bail.

On 6/12/24 at 1840 hours, Troopers stopped a vehicle on Erin Way at the Old Sterling Highway after recognizing the driver as Rusty Counts, who did not have a valid license. Counts, 45 of Anchor Point, was found to have suspended licenses out of Oregon and California. Counts was given a summons to appear and released. A passenger in the vehicle was identified as Jamie Mitchell, 39 of Anchor Point. Mitchell was found to have two outstanding warrants for her arrest. Mitchell was arrested and remanded into the Homer Jail on her warrants with bail set at $750.

Update: On June 24, 2024, at 7:50am, the body of Christiana Watt’s was recovered from Ward Lake. The body was spotted near the shore by a person walking the trail around the lake. Next of kin has been notified.
Update: June 17, 2024. After multiple days of searching on land, water, and under water with search teams, K9s, sonar, and remotely operated vehicles, the Alaska State Troopers in coordination with Ketchikan Volunteer Search and Rescue, have suspended the active search for Christiana Watt. Search teams have searched all probable locations for Christiana at this time. If new information or evidence becomes known Troopers or other search teams will react to that information and may start active searching. We appreciate all of the assistance that local search teams and the Ketchikan community has provided. If you have information that has not been reported to law enforcement that may help Troopers locate Christiana, please call the Alaska State Troopers at 907-451-5100. You can also provide information anonymously through the AKTips smartphone app.
Update: June 13, 2024. Search efforts today have been concentrated on Ward Lake utilizing underwater ROV and sonar. Murky water conditions continue to present visibility challenges for the ROV with no new leads.
Update: June 12, 2024. Search efforts are continuing with a focus on Ward Lake using an underwater ROV, boats, and dogs, with a diver on standby. Over the course of the search, agencies participating include Ketchikan Volunteer Search and Rescue (KVRS), Southeast Alaska Dogs Organized for Ground Search (SEADOGS), Alaska State Troopers, Alaska Wildlife Troopers, and U.S. Forest Service Police. Troopers continue to follow up on all leads.
On June 10, 2024, at 7:49pm, Alaska State Troopers were notified of a possible missing person. It was reported that Christiana Watt, age 48, of Ketchikan was missing and may be in the Ward Lake area of Ketchikan. Christiana’s vehicle was located in the Ward Lake parking lot, with her cell phone, wallet and ID inside. Search efforts by Alaska State Troopers, members of the United States Forest Service, the Ketchikan Volunteer Rescue Squad, and SEADOGS are ongoing. At this time the disappearance of Christiana is not considered suspicious. Anyone having contact or information regarding Christiana Watt is asked to contact the Alaska State Troopers in Ketchikan at 907-225-5118 and reference incident AK24055622.

On 06/16/2024 at approximately 2340 hours Soldotna dispatch received a report of a domestic disturbance at a residence in Soldotna. Upon further investigation 30 year old Soldotna resident Hubba Charlie assaulted his 26 year old girlfriend. Charlie was arrested and remanded to Wildwood pretrial for one count of Domestic Violence Assault in the 3rd degree and one count DV Assault in the 4th degree (physical injury).

On 6/16/24 at 1915 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to property off Arness Rd. in Nikiski for a report of several people trespassing. Investigation revealed Micheal Wooten, 41 of Nikiski, was at the property and had an outstanding arrest warrant for Driving with a Revoked/Suspended license. Wooten was arrested and remanded at Wildwood with a $100 bail.

On 6/16/24 at approximately 0620 hours, Alaska State Troopers and VPSO’s responded to Copper Center after receiving a report of a disturbance. Investigation revealed that Nolan Debler (43) of Copper Center had assaulted a household member. Debler was arrested and transported to the Glennallen Trooper post pending arraignment. Alcohol was a factor in this case.

On June 17, 2024, at 3:03 am, the Alaska State Troopers contacted 37-year-old Wasilla resident Derek Bradley after he was spotted at the Trooper post in Palmer. As Troopers were attempting to serve him a domestic violence protective order, Bradley fled the area in a Dodge Challenger. Troopers pursued Bradley for approximately 30 minutes. After troopers successfully deflated Bradley’s tires, he fled on foot and stole a jet ski on Anderson Lake to continue eluding Troopers. A short time later, Troopers received a report that Bradley was at a storage facility on Seldon Road. Troopers responded and Bradley refused to comply with the Troopers commands, claiming he was armed with a handgun. Due to the situation, the Southcentral SWAT team was activated. The SWAT team and negotiators were able to persuade Bradley to surrender to Troopers. Bradley was served the DVPO and subsequently remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial facility on charges of Fail to Stop in the First Degree and Vehicle Theft in the Second Degree.

On 6/17/2024 at approximately 1434 hours the Alaska State Troopers responded to a residence in Palmer in reference to a Domestic Assault occurring after the fact. Investigations revealed Matthew Vos Age, 40, of Palmer, committed the crimes of Assault in the 4th Degree & Criminal Mischief in the 4th Degree. Subsequently, Matthew was arrested and transported to Matsu Pre-Trial where he was remanded and held on no bail for DV Assault/Criminal Mischief Charges.

On 6/17/2024, at approximately 0005 hours, AST conducted a traffic stop at Parks Hwy and Museum Rd. AST contacted the driver and two occupants of the vehicle. AST identified the passenger as Jeffrey Munholland, 25, of Big Lake. Investigation revealed that Jeffrey had an outstanding $2000 warrant for his arrest on original charges of Assault 3, Theft 3, Reckless Endangerment, and Criminal Trespass.

On 06/14/2024 at approximately 1025 hours, the Alaska State Troopers in Fairbanks received a warrant tip regarding Dallas Brown. A routine search in APSIN revealed that Dallas had an outstanding $5,000 felony warrant for Assault in the 1st degree, Assault in the 2nd degree x2, Assault in the 3rd degree and Assault in the 4th degree. Troopers followed up on the tip and contacted and apprehended Dallas without incident. Dallas was remanded to the Fairbanks Correctional Center on his warrant.

On 06/15/2024 at approximately 1425 hours, Eielson AFB Security Forces contacted the Alaska State Troopers in Fairbanks reporting they had a male named Carlos Menendez of Washington State, was detained at their front gate. Investigation revealed that Carlos had an $30,000 outstanding warrant for Criminal Negligent Homicide out of Texas and was fully extraditable. Carlos was remanded to the Fairbanks Correctional Center awaiting his extradition.

A routine check in APSIN revealed that Ricardo had a $500 Misdemeanor warrant for his arrest. Ricardo was arrested and remanded to the Fairbanks Correctional Center.

Stevenson was issued a citation for having no markings on his shellfish buoys with a bail set at $120.00 in the Wrangell Courts. Kincannon and Hanton were both issued citations for failure to have a shrimp permit while shrimping. Each of their bail is set at $120.00 in the Wrangell Courts.
