On 5/4/25 at 1400 hours, Alaska State troopers responded to a residence off Jennifer Dr. in Soldotna attempting to contact Maranda Lee Moore, 42 of Soldotna. Moore was contacted at the residence and arrested on an outstanding warrant for Violating Conditions of Release. Moore was transported and remanded at Wildwood Pretrial without bail.

On 5/4/25 at 1545 hours, Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a small passenger car on Sandy Lane in Nikiski. Investigation revealed the driver, Michael Lavern Hughes, 65 of Soldotna, was driving with a Suspended License. Hughes was issued a misdemeanor court citation for Driving With a Suspended License (with previous convictions) and released.

On 4/28/2025 at approximately 1623 hours, Palmer Judicial Services assisted with apprehending a juvenile who attempted to escape from custody at the Palmer Courthouse. Investigation determined an in-custody 14-year-old male briefly fled from his counselor after exiting the courthouse following a court hearing. The male was subsequently taken into custody on courthouse premises by the counselor without further incident. A single charge of Attempted Escape III is being forwarded to the Mat-Su Division of Juvenile Justice.

On 5/2/2025 at approximately 1207 hours, Court Services Officers assigned to Palmer Judicial Services remanded Gordon Carvalho , 42, of Wasilla for an outstanding arrest warrant. The warrant was for Promoting Contraband I and Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance IV. Carvalho was remanded on the warrant while in custody at the Palmer Correctional Center for unrelated charges. Bail was set at $500 cash performance.

On 5-4-25 at 2208 hours MATCOM dispatch received multiple 911 calls that a silver Hyundai SUV was driving Northbound on the Parks Highway swerving in and out of the lane, struck a guard rail, and continued toward Wasilla. AST located the vehicle and investigation revealed the driver, Adeline Mael (44) was intoxicated. Adeline was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial and held on $500 bail.

On May 4, 2025, at 4:54am, the Alaska State Troopers received a report of an overdose, near the Fairview Loop area of Wasilla. Troopers and Mat-Su Borough EMS responded. Investigation determined 38-year-old Kyle Day, of Wasilla, had overdosed on suspected fentanyl and he was declared deceased at the scene. Mat-Su SDEU responded and will be assisting in the investigation. Next of kin have been notified.

On April 5, 2025, at approximately 1430 hours, the Alaska State Troopers in Fairbanks contacted Senora Fuzzard, 21YOA, in the area of McGrath Rd. A routine check of police records revealed that Senora had a warrant for her arrest. Senora was arrested and remanded to the Fairbanks Correctional Center.

On May 5, 2025 at about 5:51 AM, Alaska State Troopers received multiple reports that a completely naked male was walking on the Alaska Hwy near the Canadian Border. Troopers responded from Tok and tok a 44 year old Fairbanks man into custody for mental health reasons. He was also issued a misdemeanor citation for Indecent Exposure 2 with a mandatory court date. The male was transported to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital.

On 5 May 2025, at approximately 1756 hours, AST received a report of an assault in the area of Route 66 in North Pole. It was reported that a husband and wife had gotten into a verbal argument, which turned physical. Troopers arrived and the investigation found probable cause that husband had committed assault 4, he was arrested and remanded to FCC.

On May 4, 2025, at approximately 1919 hours, the Alaska Wildlife Troopers received a report for a search and rescue on Flat Top Mountain. The report was that Jennifer Lederhos had slid off the mountain top for a short distance and received some cuts to her body. None of the cuts were life threatening but she was indicating signs of hypothermia. Alaska Mountain Rescue Group (AMRG) was requested and responded with a team to assist Jennifer down the mountain. At approximately 2150 hours AMRG located Jennifer and assisted her down the mountain to an awaiting ambulance to assess her injuries.

On May 5, 2025, Task Force Dawnbreaker (Alaska Bureau of Investigation Technical Crime Unit, and U.S. Department of Homeland Security Investigation) arrested Robert Campbell (age 57 of Anchorage) during a child sexual abuse material investigation. An investigation into Campbell revealed thousands of CSAM files in his possession. Campbell was arrested on one (1) count of Distribution of CSAM, and five (5) counts of Possession of CSAM. Campbell was remanded to Anchorage Correctional Complex on no bail.
