On 07/20/2024 at approximately 0036 hours Troopers responded to a domestic disturbance after the fact in Sterling. Further investigation revealed 37 year old Sterling resident Travis Richardson was arrested and remanded at Wildwood Pretrial for Assault in the 4th degree physical injury on a family member.

On 07/20/2024 AST was conducting follow-up from another incident. During the investigation it was determined Bryant Arbuckle, age 26 from Healy contacted a person who he was prohibited from contacting on multiple occasions from FCC. Arbuckle was remanded at FCC for new charges of Unlawful Contact 1st (x2).

On 07/20/2024 at approximately 1155 hrs, Soldotna AST responded to a two vehicle collision at the intersection of Treasure Chest St and Kenai Spur Highway near Kenai. Investigation revealed Conner Christoffersen age 31 of Kenai was traveling southbound on the Kenai Spur Highway near Treasure Chest St when he attempted to overtake a vehicle on the right, which was making a left hand turn onto Treasure Chest St. Further investigation indicated that Christoffersen lost control of his vehicle crossing into the northbound lane, where he was struck by a vehicle traveling northbound. Christoffersen was pronounced deceased on scene, investigation pending.

On July 20, 2024 at approximately 2100 hours, the Alaska State Troopers contacted Daniel Warnock, 71 years old of Willow, in Houston for a report of a belligerent patron at a Houston bar. A routine check of APSIN indicated Warnock had an active warrant for his arrest (REF: 3PA-22-02010CR Fail to Appear Original Charge DUI). Warnock was arrested, remanded to Mat Su Pre-Trial and held on $100 bail.

On July 20th, 2024, at approximately 0354 hours, AST conducted a traffic stop on a silver sedan for several moving violations on the Parks Highway. Investigation revealed, Christopher Pelletier, age 42 of Wasilla, was operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Christopher was arrested and remanded at MSPT, where he is being held on 1000 dollars bail.

Location: BethelType: SAR/Death InvestigationDispatch Text:
On July 19, 2024, at 6:21pm, Alaska State Troopers were notified of a boating fatality approximately 53 miles southeast of Bethel on a remote river rafting trip. Investigation revealed that Larry Erwin, age 53 of Dallas Texas, was in an inflatable raft when he lost control and went over a waterfall. Larry was ejected from the boat into the water. Larry was pulled to shore and did not have any signs of life. RCC was notified and responded from JBER and was able to transport the body and several members of the party back to Bethel via helicopter. The State Medical Examiner has been notified. Next of kin has been notified.

On July 19, at approximately 2053 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a report of a disturbance near Plack Road. After further investigation, Danielle Ryan, age 33 of North Pole, was arrested for Assault in the 3rd degree. Danielle was remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center without incident.

On 7-20-24, Delta Junction AST received a report of a domestic violence assault near Clearwater Rd. Investigation showed Viktor Kravets assaulted a family member. Viktor was unable to be located and there is potential further criminal charges once he is located. Viktor has been charged with Domestic Violence assault.

On 7/20/2024 AST Fairbanks Troopers were requested by UAF Police to help locate a felony level theft suspect in the area of West Valley High School. Once Troopers located the suspect, they began to flee on a 4 wheeler. Troopers were able to follow the 4 wheeler to a point where they could attempt to conduct a traffic stop but the 4 wheeler continued to flee. Eventually the suspect's 4 wheeler became disabled and foot pursued ensued. Troopers took the suspect into custody and he was identified as Matthew Kubanyl (38) of Fairbanks. Matthew was given over to the custody of UAF Police.

On 7-20-24. Delta Junction AST received a report of a disturbance where a female was intoxicated and walking on the Alaska Hwy in the lane of travel. The female refused to get into a family members vehicle. Delta AST responded and the female got into the vehicle. A short while later, the female caused another disturbance and investigation showed she assaulted a family member. Helen Attungana, age 43, of Delta was arrested for DV Assault 4 and Reckless Endangerment. She was remanded to FCC.

On July 19, 2024, at approximately 2030 hours, the Alaska Wildlife Troopers received a report of an ATV accident on Baldy Mountain Trail. The complainant, Joel Magby, reported that his daughter, Catherine Magby, had rolled her ATV and sustained injuries to her pelvis and lower back. Catherine was kept comfortable and immobilized while rescue efforts were made. The local fire department and Search & Rescue teams did not have the equipment to move her out safely. RCC sent a crew from the Air Guard to assist on rescue efforts. They extracted Catherine at 2320 hours and transported her to Providence Alaska Medical Center for further treatment of her injuries.

On 7/20/2024 Arthur G. Peterson (51 YOA) of Vashon, Washington was charged with 15 counts of Unsworn Falsification in the Second Degree. Investigation revealed Arthur held, between 2018 and 2023, resident commercial fishing permits for both Washington State and Alaska. Arraignment is set for August 8th through the Naknek District Court.
